$7.3 billion???!!!!! That's $200 per man, woman and child living in Canada! Seriously? That just doesn't seem possible, especially since Canadians produce their own whiskey and also import Scotch, etc.
I agree the numbers do not make sense, here is the source.

Are you sure they aren't Canadian? I definitely saw some in their province of Alaska.

Muh fake outrage though. Why be outraged now and not earlier? That's the point being made.
Trump is the first president -- ever, probably -- to engage in a relentless campaign to discredit his predecessors. Even Bush Sr and Clinton got along, both while Clinton was president and afterwards. There has been no call for anybody to be outraged until now.

Nope, they're from Louisiana. Of course, the clocks aren't Alaskan, either.

Perhaps check Canada's exports as well. Could be that exports from the US are channelled through Canada due to some regulation or customs fee advantage by that route.

I think you just demonstrated your own stupidity.

Not only do you keep making stupidly disingenuous remarks ("I said 'if'", "Obama was Trump's predecessor or am I in a new timeline again?", "Trump talking to Melania's spokesperson?"), you willfully misinterpret statements of fact. StirB did not suggest you had low intellect; he stated just the opposite. I, on the other hand, am suggesting that you continually do display a lack of critical thought or even basic understanding.

They have to fill those barrels around the dogs' necks with something.
No wonder more than half the export volume is shipped in barrels.

They are off by 1000, somebody used a comma in place of a decimal point.

Total yearly exportation is only $311M.

"Kentucky exported $311 million of whiskies to other countries in 2015" (from the same source).

According to the link you posted earlier the Obama administration was having to deal with huge numbers of unaccompanied children entering the US "In the fall of 2013, tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors traveled to the U.S. southern border, in flight from poverty and gang violence in Central America."

Whereas the Trump administration is ripping children from their families.

Do you see the difference?

Incidentally it seems we were wrong about Trump inheriting this family separation law.
According to the Snopes site you conveniently directed me to
Quote:
No federal law required or suggested the family separation policy announced by Attorney General Sessions in several sets of remarks during April and May 2018.
Source

The family separation policy was a Trump administration invention consequently the outrage!

BTW if you claim Trump inherited US laws directly from his predecessor Obama then Obama must also be responsible for the US Constitution

No.

I love it when people object to others supporting basic social justice, as if it's somehow offensive to protect those weaker or less able to speak out than ourselves (not that I'm suggesting that StirB or any other poster here necessarily falls into either category!).

It says a lot about you, Velociraptor. Take that as ad hominem if you will, although there's no other way to address you and your actions. Certainly, banal generalities wouldn't cut it.

This is English Forum Switzerland, not the BBC.

We allow our mods to have opinions. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other venues for you to share your view of the world.

Ps: thanks for murdering conservatism from the inside, by the way. One day you and your mates will look back and realise you've been played like spoons.

Thanks! I know this new haircut makes me look younger, but I haven't been called a kid since I took a GM role in 1999 with dozens of employees quite a bit older than me.

You're all useful idiots. I came here to ask for advice on something unrelated, got some pointers so thanks to those who helped. Leaving this forum on my own, thanks.
