PUTIN AGREES TO RECEIVE INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS IN TRUMP’S PLACE

In what Donald Trump’s transition-team members are calling a further example of international cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to receive daily U.S. intelligence briefings in the place of the President-elect.

Make sure to quote correctly, to not mis-assign your quotes. I've found that IE (MS Edge as it's now called) doesn't have the quoting issue FF has.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
Donald Trump and his team on Monday sharpened the divide with the Obama administration on whether Russia executed the cyber-attacks on the White House race and suggested this team might have the better intelligence.

“Rushing to judgement on stuff like this is not in anybody’s best interest,” incoming White House Communication Director Sean Spicer said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”
Source

These people demonstrate their complete stupidity by claiming they have "better intelligence" before they have met with the US intelligence community to understand exactly what intelligence they have.
I assume Trump must have a direct feed from the Russian secret service?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Given a choice between the US intelligence agencies and wikileaks, I know who I would believe:

Interestingly the bit quoted here: "The U.S. Government assesses that information was leaked to the press and publicly disclosed."

Doesn't say that the hacked information was leaked, but just that information was leaked. Given their clever word plays in the past, this could just be an example of insinuation without claiming that the hacked information was leaked, i.e., entirely consistent with the wikileaks claim that the information was not hacked, but leaked by an insider.

Maybe, but I find it astonishing that nobody can prove or disprove if Trump and Putin have ever met. Trump has claimed they have on a number of occassions, then denied it and/or been proved wrong. Bizarre behaviour from a supposed adult.
I would expect if there was any record of such a meeting, it would have been dug up and used during the Presidential campaigning.

Interesting information!

Special Agent Adrian Hawkins of the Federal Bureau of Investigation called the Democratic National Committee in September 2015 to pass along some troubling news about its computer network, he was transferred, naturally, to the help desk.

His message was brief, if alarming. At least one computer system belonging to the D.N.C. had been compromised by hackers federal investigators had named “the Dukes,” a cyberespionage team linked to the Russian government.

Clever people the FBI, they already knew over a year ago that Trump would beat HC and had already started inventing Russian Hacker stories

I'm at the point where I'm hoping Trump's presidency is so disastrous that anyone who thought it was a good idea can't look back without feeling ashamed of themselves. But then we live in a world where bragging about sexually assaulting women is "locker room talk", so what do I know anymore.

Trump tweet today
Quote:
General Motors is sending Mexican made model of Chevy Cruze to U.S. car dealers-tax free across border. Make in U.S.A.or pay big border tax!
GM reply
Quote:
“All Chevrolet Cruze sedans sold in the U.S. are built in GM’s assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio.
GM builds the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the U.S.”
Trump named GM chief executive Marry Barra to his economic and job-creation panel. So you would imagine he knows where Cruze are built?

And if the GM chief executive is in his team so why tweet?

And all apart from the minor issue about cancelling the existing trade deal?

I posted that after reading that Trump doesn't trust computers and wants to use couriers for all his correspondence. Now that's a job that will require some serious danger money!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Initially I thought the Majesty of Office along with teams of advisors would tame Trump, making him more Statesman-like in the run up to 20 Jan, but the opposite seems to be true. He is as thin-skinned, childish and ill informed as he was during the election; Twitter should ban him as a matter of national security.

Seriously, God help the USA

Meh...traffic and road closures, a royal PITA. I'll be camping out on my couch.

I look forward to the March the day after. It will be my first ever protest/demonstration, I usually dislike them because I think they are useless, but this looks like it will be a good one, so I will be there!
