I wonder if we can all chip in with very short 1-2 liners.
So who will come after Trump?

You might not be that far from the truth.
The American century was slowly coming to an end, anyway.
Trump just acted as an accelerator.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | It's a wider issue, though. Right from his inner circle to his core supporters in the US as well as the supporters cheering him on from the safety of a stable European country, there is a pervasive need to constantly limit the damage, sweep the clangers under the carpet and shout down anyone who speaks against Trump.
The clangers are getting more and more chaotic and ridiculous so the excuses have to match.
I think I'd have a modicum of respect for Trump if people just said, yes he f**ked up because of xyz and here's the correct story. Even if it shows him in a bad light it would look better for him.
This "oh he meant to do it to entertain the media and you're all so dumb for not realising it" is what's so cringeworthy. Seriously, it's insulting and smells of desperation. | | | | | Not even clangers, there is a whole number of areas where Trump's distaste for digging into details gives unintended results; you know the devil is in the details!
I doubt he actually knew his crack down on illegal border crossings would mean separating children from their families; he is too image conscious too have believed this would enhance him.
Look at the recent announcement of small business association health care plans which were claimed to be a major weapon against Obamacare.
Now we have the surreal situation that business groups who have been lobbying for decades for these plans are now refusing to confirm they will actually create such plans because "the rules are too complex and limiting".
In his usual ebullient way speaking at a campaign rally in Great Falls, Montana, a couple of weeks claimed “millions” are already signing up for association health care plans.
This quite amazing since they will not be available until at least Sept. 1, maybe much later due to the lack of enthusiasm. Source
Also there is a list of the other lies he told!

After Trump? If the trend he began continues then Ronald McDonald or Kool-Aid Man or Colonel Sanders or a minion.
They all have the benefit of a consistent public image and we do not need to know anything about the person in the costume. |
