China.
Well, my first thought was Putin actually. He is ahead of China as he is already taking office, no? Allowed in to interrogate people ....

I honestly, truthfully don't want this to happen because it would be catastrophic for the U.S., but I can't help thinking that his words over the last week will tip someone over the edge enough to attempt to assassinate him.

The press conference with Putin wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination, but inviting Russian intelligence officers over to 'interview' U.S. citizens..... That's taking things to a whole new level. Forget Democrats. That won't sit at all well with a lot of GOP patriots. Totally undocumented meetings with Putin, won't sit well with GOP patriots either.

No, but he has said that God speaks to him directly. Not sure if that means he would be better or worse than Trump?

After Trump? If the trend he began continues then Ronald McDonald or Kool-Aid Man or Colonel Sanders or a minion.
They all have the benefit of a consistent public image and we do not need to know anything about the person in the costume.
I think Pence has a difficult time separating church and state. In fact, I think he’d love a state religion.

He does not support marriage equality, choice and he denies science (smoking does not cause cancer).

Unappealing to me, perhaps even a gobshite, whatever that is.

MAGA?

That's straigt from the "Great Communicator", Ronald Reagan.

Hollywood is not the only institution who's obsessed with remakes because they are afraid of trying something new.

I understand Trump did specify the Russians have to bring their own interrogation instruments which will be subject to tariffs

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

If somebody wasn't as religious as Pence but held the same values - would people accept him better?

It depends.....religion informs his stance on some science issues, such as evolution and so many of the social issues. I don‘t know....am trying to think of someone who meets those criteria and I cannot.

Don't try to stop her. For the first time - imho - this thread is actually a discussion. So far the supporters on EF were exactly like the supporters in the US: Hollering.
It's not a discussion, it's a monologue.

Someone who immediately dismisses contradicting statements with ..
"That is exactly what people say when they are being opposed and cannot take it. Selfrighteousness will do that."
... is showing exactly zero interest in an actual discussion.

In fact MC displays exactly the selfrighteousness (and arrogance) she reproaches others of.

I would say that Pence's religious views may be explanatory or add context but they are not causal as far as his politics are concerned.

I think I agree.

Why is Trump being accused of treason?

Because he's a traitor.

I cannot imagine what it means to be American and having to watch this on TV.

It's bad enough with Horst and Angela.

And we don't have nukes ;-)

It‘s freakin cringeworthy. As a consequence, it makes me grateful I do not live in the US and reluctant to visit. It absolutely sucks.

Fortunately one does not have to watch anything.

For most Americans it's no problem, just a problem for those on EF.
