Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Will be Friday in a couple of hours

Quote:
Washington's Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee tweeted out an invitation for President Trump to come to his state to campaign for Republicans ahead of the midterm elections.

The invite, sent through the Democrat's personal account, comes amid signs that Republicans could struggle in the state — in part as opposition to President Trump leads to higher enthusiasm among Democrats across the country.

Brilliant trolling!

A sure-fire way to rattle Trump, who will probably paint himself into a corner.

Meanwhile his parents-in-law get citizenship.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45137752

Obviously for everyone else a case of don't do what I do, do what I say.

Mind you I'm still trying to get my head around this:

"Melania Trump became a US citizen in 2006, after entering the US on a coveted Einstein visa for people of "extraordinary ability" in 2001 when she was working as a model."

Since when was being a clothes horse an "extraordinary ability"?

And Sessions may be held in contempt of court for the deportation of a woman and child while they're asylum case is still being heard.

Heh. It must be odd, having "parents"-in-law who are just 26.5 months and 11 months, respectively, older than you.

Highest US Core Inflation in Decade Flattens Real U.S. Wage Growth

Source

Annual inflation matched the 2.9 percent pace from June, which had been the highest level since February 2012. The core measure of the Consumer Price Index rose 2.4 percent from a year earlier, the biggest advance since September 2008.

Labor Department report on Friday showed inflation-adjusted wages were unchanged in July from the previous month and dropped 0.2 percent from a year earlier.

US economy is doing really well but most people are not seeing any benefit in their pockets; what happens with the GOP vote when people finally recognize this?

Indeed, this is ridiculous. Though I suspect it was her appearance without clothing rather than with.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

<<"She's popular, she's brilliant, she's a wonderful woman," says Trump with uncharacteristic understatement. And who are we to disagree? Not only does she manage to keep a man fabled for his erections (the latest is the Trump World Tower on New York's First Avenue)......>>

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
A conservative magazine is slamming Republicans for showing a lack of scrutiny toward President Trump and his administration over their shifting stories on the 2016 Trump Tower meeting between a Russian lawyer and Trump campaign officials.

"Republicans ought to be castigating the president over the Trump Tower meeting, not covering for him," The Weekly Standard wrote in a searing editorial published Friday.

"Even if they support him more broadly. And what would it cost them? Nothing," the editorial board wrote. "They could say, 'While the meeting does not appear to have been illegal, it was unethical and has no place in American politics. Trump and his campaign were wrong to do it and should be ashamed of it.' You can say that and still support the president, still want to vote for him in 2020, still want The Wall.
