I mean I'm an atheist, I have no respect for religious institutions, partly may be that churches do nothing to stop corruption and greed, they just excuse it or forgive it, if anything, church is one place people should be critisizing trump, and it's a great failure of their supposed moral authority that they don't.

A positive thing might be that the common conception of autism is obsessive, perhaps bothered when we know something to be true, is explained as not being true, so it's explained as lack of social filters, because they don't know that maybe you shouldn't say someone is a lying cheating shithead. coz "nice" peple support him.

Basically it is an unholy accommodation!

97% of US Christian Evangelicals say their core value is "it is necessary to follow the teachings of Christ in one’s personal and family life" (Pew Research).
Now 80% of them vote for a twice divorced man who it is claimed regularly had extra marital affairs with models and porn stars.

To post "it's a great failure of their supposed moral authority" is a very mild rebuke; in fact they are closing their eyes to a complete rejection of their core values only while they hope Trump will deliver on their policies.
It is a Faustian pact.

The proposed sign will feature a February 2016 tweet from Trump criticizing Cruz as an “all talk, no action” politician.

Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department. Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff......
That darn US Dept. of Justice actually indicting criminals!

Thats one of Spankys most disgraceful posts, he's actually berating the DOJ for not being partisan, also, as is normal with Spanky, everything comes with lies; the investigations were started on his watch, not President Obama's

In other news, former defence secretary and CIA Director Leon Panetta says the June North Korea summit was 'all about show' well I never, who could have predicted nothing would come of it? anyone skilled in the bleedin obvious, thats who.

That's actually a bit of hypocrisy. The whole of US politics has been a show for decades. Probably since Kennedy won a debate over Nixon because he had a better shave and looked more handsome.

Reagan was a former actor and Trump's main past time apart from bringing companies to bankruptcy and ruining small-businesses in the process was actually being a TV host in a show who only really had place for one winner: him.

The GOP let him run, knowing all that and knowing that the electorate in large parts of the country was ripe for picking from an outsider and now people have the audacity to complain about it being all show?

Another win for Don McLean...

How did the land of Jefferson, how did the land of King
become the land of hamburgers and raisins that can sing?
Roosevelt was crippled, Lincoln was a geek.
They'd never get elected, their clothes were never chic.

President Bashar al-Assad of Syria must not recklessly attack Idlib Province. The Russians and Iranians would be making a grave humanitarian mistake to take part in this potential human tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed. Don’t let that happen!
Spanky seems to have lost the plot?

The US claim to be in Syria against ISIS not against Assad?

Not that I think it is a bad idea to prevent a massacre in Idib but Trump is a bit late to this party. It is hard to see what actions he can take now without starting a new major crisis and so embedding the US into the Syria quagmire even deeper and for longer!

Seems a bit harsh on Reagan, not that I'm in the habit of defending him but his policies brought an end to the USSR leaving the US as the only superpower at the time. I can't reconcile that with Spanky swanning in unprepared, pressing some dictator flesh, saluting a couple of men in uniform and declaring 'peace in our time'

I didn't think the GOP let him run, I thought they were as horrified as everyone else at the prospect, but unable to stop it, no?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

After Trump's hissy fit about people kneeling for the flag or national anthem or whatever he was bothered about, his band of snowflake supporters are burning their own Nike products in a spectacular self-own because Colin Kaepernick (and other sports personalities) are fronting a Nike ad campaign.

Who says liberals have the monopoly on being a SJW?

If they weren't dumb as a bag of rocks they would realise that they've ALREADY GIVEN NIKE THEIR MONEY.

Not everybody is Kim Davies you know. You can be a good Christian without oppressively expecting everybody else to be one too, or seeking retribution against those who aren't.

Bah! They'll invoke that religious wildcard of "forgiveness" won't they? The man is about as unchristian as it gets but, hey, at least he's not a Democrat so they can forgive his debauchery and immorality. Pray for his soul, all that jazz.

Religion is good for all that double-standards guff, so with a bit of thoughts-and-prayers magic they're all fine and free of conscience.
