Trump still disputing his own official Govt. statistics!

So are the official Govt. statistics about GDP and unemployment also fake news?
To be fair he's talking about the death toll until when he left PR after his visit, not the total.

In that case, he shouldn't really claim the "great success" he had, should he? All he did was turn up for a couple of hours and toss out a few rolls of kitchen paper.

He shouldn't make that claim at all, that's for sure. That's just not the point.

But hey it's against Trump so anything goes and everything's fair.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is pleading guilty to two federal charges stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and has reached a "cooperation agreement" as part of the plea deal.

The details of that cooperation, however, are unclear, including who Manafort would be cooperating with, and to what degree.

The point is Trump tweeted "Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000.
This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible"

In this case "they" happen to be Trump's own administration.

The president's statement seems to indicate this was unexpected. Eamon Javers CNBC Washington correspondent reports:

Quote:
The president’s legal team put out an initial statement that said: “the President did nothing wrong and Paul Manafort will tell the truth.” Minutes later, they put out a new statement that said simply: “the President did nothing wrong.”

Oh man, this is getting good. Mueller is batting 100%. Flynn, Papadopoulos, Cohn, Gates, and now Manafort are all cooperating. Clearly, he has his eyes on a particular fish - or family of fish - to fry.

The question is what happens next?

Does Mueller file charges / release a report within the 60-day window of an election? (or is that policy over after Comey disregarded it for Clinton in 2016?)

What will the report contain? I'm virtually certain it'll include obstruction of justice by Trump - which justifies impeachment by itself. Definitely campaign finance crimes. I'd bet they also get him on money laundering. Will Mueller allege collusion as well? I don't know, probably some version of it.

If it is just a report and not an indictment (scholars disagree whether Presidents can be indicted), will it be made public?

Does a Trump pardon do anything at all at this point once cooperation agreements are in place? If it does have power, does he dare wait until after the midterms thus giving them more time to cooperate? or does he act now?

Crazytown indeed.

And now!

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has agreed to cooperate “fully and truthfully” with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, Judge Amy Berman Jackson said in federal court on Friday.

Jackson said this would include submitting to interviews with the special counsel and providing documents related to the probe.

“fully and truthfully” Hmmm, so Manafort failed to agree any red lines or no go areas; dark cloud forming over the White House

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Oh wow, just forced myself to watch Michael Avenatti taking apart Tucker Carlson, Carlson did the full Fox spectrum, mocking voices, fake laughter, shouting over Avenatti and deflecting then cutting him off at the end. Kudos to Avenatti for keeping his head.

Not as as good as John Stewarts takedown of Carlson on Crossfire that caused the cancellation of Carlsons show but worth a look. If anyone hasn't seen the Crossfire segment where Stewart destroyed Carlson and co-host in front of their own audience, I'll just leave this here.
