Some could have lied just to protect their private lives from further inquires. Just imagine a certain respectable Ms.X, mother of 3 and a pillar of the society, being dragged into remembering some wild parties in her student years. Just one more potential explanation..

.....he is “aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s, during which Brett Kavanagh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.”

Ooohhh!
Edit: Deborah Ramirez is alleging that Kavanaugh exposed himself in front of her without consent in the 1980s.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | Breaking news: Christine Blasey Ford's classmate and lifelong friend, has no recollection of the party and denies ever knowing Kavenaugh. This is the fourth person to provide sworn statements to the Senate Judiciary Committee denying any recollection of the party Ford references. Interestingly, Ford herself is the only person who has not yet provided the Committee with a sworn statement (which, if false, is subject to criminal proceedings). https://twitchy.com/brettt-3136/2018...naugh-or-ford/ | | | | | Twitchy.com is NOT a reliable news source; it has a massive conservative bias.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | Twitchy.com is NOT a reliable news source; it has a massive conservative bias. | | | | | Yeah, Twichy is clickbaity nonsense. But this is accurate: Leland Keyser denied any recollection of the party in an email to the committee (I don't think an email qualifies as sworn testimony). This is not too surprising, Dr. Ford also had said beforehand that she didn't suspect Leland would remember because the party was unremarkable for her and Ford didn't tell her about the alleged assault.
The GOP's unwillingness to reopen Kavanaughs FBI background check is a big deal and highlights how they're disinterested in getting to the bottom of these accusations. Which is a normal action to take, it was done for Anita Hill, and the FBI could complete it in a couple days.
Lying in testimony to the judicial committee can only be prosecuted by the judicial committee. For example, Don Jr lied to congress about the Trump Tower meeting, but the GOP controlled congress decided to do nothing about it. Similarly, Mark Judge could lie and know he'll never have any consequences for that.
Lying to the FBI, on the other hand, is a different story. Just ask Michael Flynn and George Papadopoulos.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | The New Yorker on Sunday published a story on a second woman, Deborah Ramirez, accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Beyond the contents of the allegations themselves, there is another explosive layer that reflects more broadly on the Republican Party: Senior GOP staffers knew about Ramirez’s allegation last week, and instead of taking a pause to investigate, they appeared to try to speed up the confirmation process | | | | | Source
And we have a fourth accusation: | Quote: | | | | Investigators in Montgomery County confirmed Monday they’re aware of a potential second sexual assault complaint in the county against former Georgetown Prep student and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
While investigators weren’t specific and spoke on background, they said they are looking at allegations against Kavanaugh during his senior year in high school after an anonymous witness came forward this weekend.
This would potentially bring the number to four women accusing Kavanaugh of wrongdoing and comes after Deborah Ramirez, a former Yale college student, stepped forward this weekend to accuse Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her in college, and after attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted out a message saying he represents a woman with “credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge.” | | | | | Source | The following 2 users would like to thank taduncombe for this useful post: | |

Trump tweet from the UN of his speech today.
I must admit I did not listen to the words, I was more interested in the facial expressions of the people sitting near him. They ranged from boredom to disinterest, Nimrata "Nikki" Haley who is currently the 29th United States Ambassador to the United Nations tried to look interested whereas Sarah Huckabee Sanders seemed more interested in tidying her hairstyle.
Quite a contrast to videos of his campaign speeches where it is claimed they are packed with his paid supporters!
Overall I have the impression the other world leaders are starting to write him off as all wind and no action? Look at the OPEC lack of action!

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | Really?? So he is completely guilty of this alleged offense because other women at Yale did not like the environment there? Not exactly hard evidence and no one thus far, has come forward to corroborate this second offense.
Sounds like a lot political posturing by the Democrats (and I am an Independent and never voted for Trump). The timing of these allegations is very suspect to me...
Frankly, I am really sick and tired of the back and forth between both parties (Republican and Democrat); I feel like I am watching a bunch of toddlers in a sandbox competing for a shovel and/or bucket.
That said, I cannot accept an accusation as fact unless there is evidence supporting the accusation. The hearing this Thursday will be interesting indeed!
