Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Law of unintended consequences strikes again!

Quote:
Renate Schroeder Dolphin joined 64 other women this month who signed a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee saying they knew the Supreme Court nominee during their high school years and that "he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect."

Now she called revelations from his high school yearbook that showed he and his friends reportedly boasted about their supposed conquests with her "hurtful"

Sean Hagan, who was a Georgetown Prep student at the time and another classmate, who requested anonymity, told the Times that Dolphin was a subject of their boasting. They said Kavanaugh and his friends wanted to memorialize their supposed conquests with the yearbook references.
Source

As a minimum, these yearbook references demonstrate he did not "treat women with respect".

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

It is almost embarrassing for the US!
Quote:
UN audience of world leaders laughs when Trump boasts of achievements

"In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country," Trump said, opening his address to the U.N. General Assembly.

Audience members then began chuckling and the laughs grew louder when Trump said "so true."
Source

Some unkind fake media then started quoting;
Quote:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

We need a President who isn't a laughing stock to the entire World. We need a truly great leader, a genius at strategy and winning. Respect!

9:30 AM - 9 Aug 2014

Edit: in contrast to past US presidents, his speech was not once interrupted by applause.

Where does Marton mention a liberal news outlet? "Official source" are his exact words.
The Hill which Marton uses as a source for the Ramirez so called "event". it is a progressive, liberal news outlet.

Do you have a source for your claim it is a progressive, liberal news outlet?

According to https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-hill/ ;
Overall, we rate The Hill slightly Left-Center biased based on story selection and High for factual reporting.

Anyway, the story was published by many sources both liberal and conservative including the conservative News Max here!

People at the back of the class need to try harder

Time to ask another more appropriate question. Is the whole " institution" of Presidency coming to an end? Trump is it's death throes!
No, and although it's a bit of a circus it is nowhere near the end of Trump's presidency. The Rs still control both houses and the Ds are probably not going to take both in November. Rosenstein is probably out, which puts Mueller's whole investigation at risk. So Trump will likely be there for a while.

Question is "what does Mueller have"?
If Rosenstein leaves then Mueller has a small window of opportunity to issue more indictments before he is blocked.
Of course, Mueller may have nothing up his sleeve!

Anyway Trump has a hard core of supporters who will stay loyal so he will be around for a long time!

Currently Trump's biggest risk is the New York investigation of the Trump Foundation except likely his lawyers have insulated him from any responsibility?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump started his second day at the UN General Assembly in typical fashion, with an early morning tweet.
He wrote, "Despite requests, I have no plans to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. Maybe someday in the future. I am sure he is an absolutely lovely man!"

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani flatly denied Tuesday that he has asked for a meeting with President Donald Trump.

"Not this year, nor last year," Rouhani told CNN. "We have never made such a request for a meeting with the President of the United States."

Avenatti has gone very quiet about his client who he alleged had information about Kavenaugh.

Rumours are he was the victim of a hoax!

Avenatti only has today and tomorrow to produce some evidence!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The European Union, Iran, China and Russia have set out a plan to sidestep unilateral US sanctions designed to cripple the Iranian economy and force the Iranians to renegotiate the nuclear deal signed in 2015.

European diplomats hope the proposed measure – known as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) – will help persuade an increasingly reluctant Iran to stay inside the deal in the hope of rescuing its economy.

Source

I assume they know what they are doing but it does not sound like a realistic option; US will sanction firms they consider to be helping Iran regardless of the payment mechanism?
