Okay... so far Kavanaugh is nailing it ... This will be a tough vote indeed. Sympathetic, intelligent accuser with no hard evidence but emotion and Kavanaugh comes out fighting! He is very convincing as well....

Dr Ford has no evidence and all whom she claimed were at the party denied the party occurred and even her close friend Leland even said that she didn't go to the party and said she NEVER met Kavanaugh...

He says his family even prayed for her. | | | | | Ahh, the old "thoughts and prayers" bollocks. Epic cringe. | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

Let's even ignore the question of if the assault actually happened.
Turn the sound off on your TV, just watch his facial expression. He's whining.

Turn the sound off on your TV, just watch his facial expression. He's whining. | | | | | And what if he has been wrongfully accused? Have you thought of that? Why didn't Dr Ford submit her therapist record? She claims she doesn't "remember" if she showed the WaPo journalist the therapist's notes but she and her counsel refused to turn them in to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Why exactly? Why would the WaPo journalist write an article and include facts which she/the journalist did not see nor corroborate and took Dr Ford's summation? Really?? Either sloppy journalism or Dr Ford's memory once again is suspect...

She/Ford was good; Kavenaugh was equally impressive... The vote should be very interesting! Innocent until proven guilty (and remember no one corroborates Ford's statement/account). His statement is thorough but let's see how the questioning goes....

It may seem a bit old school, but I still believe in 'innocent until proven guilty', something which many "liberals" sadly seem to ignore when it suits them... | | | | | Who exactly has presumed guilt in this forum? Most/all posts are about "allegations"?

As always, we are blind to the shortcomings of the people who align with our own beliefs. | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

"Innocent until proven guilty"! This is not a court of law, the question is not "is Kavenaugh innocent", the questions is do the Senate believe "he is a suitable person to be a Supreme Court Justice".
In criminal cases you have convince the court "beyond a reasonable doubt".
Unfortunately for Kavenaugh, in Senate reviews the hurdle is lower, you just have to demonstrate there are "reasonable indications" of his behaviour.
With one credible sounding accuser and at least two more waiting in the wings then the GOP and Kavenaugh have a steep hill to climb. | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

Wow, who prepared Kavanaugh for this hearing? He is coming across as totally unhinged. Not at all what I'd want to see for a Supreme Court judge.
And someone please give him a tissue because the nose wrinkling/sniffy thing is driving me nuts. | The following 4 users would like to thank 3Wishes for this useful post:

CNN basically calling it a draw - thus far. Both the accused and accuser are believable but whom to believe? Should be interesting indeed...

Are you a kindergarten teacher? | | | | | From your ungrammatical post one might jump to the conclusion you are not any form of teacher despite your "Professor" title.
"Clearly" the path to a solution is a proper investigation by the forces of law and order

But it is not a game, a very serious decision is close to being concluded.
