That a sworn statement under penalty of felony was less egregious than a sworn oath which is only guilty of perjury?
Under federal law, perjury is a felony, so your statement doesn't make any sense.

So why not google semantics??
Please stop trying to distract by going off topic, stick to the matter in hand. When did the 4 witnesses give testimony under oath?

There is a lot not making sense here. I think we are wasting our time and energy with this one.

Except I don't lie but keep trying! And yes, Ouch boy did remove a blob as my claim was "inaccurate"...

But you guys had your facts confused according to Marton...

All gave sworn statements which if false, will be subject to felony charges!

Here's another phrase which might be helpful.

Because (Gasp!) you could be wrong???

So, let's ignore facts as this cannot help your argument? Why would Mark Judge lie under penalty of felony for a guy he has not spoken to in several years?

PS.. Unfortunately, Dr Ford's good friend, Leland, did not opt for the same route. Someone correctly advised her, despite her friendship with Dr Ford, what was at stake. And she chose wisely...

The more I think about it, the more I think Reb77br is correct. Ford had nothing to lose by making this accusation. It is a win/win for her regardless of outcome.

Neither you nor your ivory tower academic who wrote the WaPo article seem able to recognise that whilst in your theoretical world sworn statements to Congress if false, will be subject to felony charges, in the real world there have been no indictments for almost 40 years.

That may be true.
But sometimes, there are consequences in the real world.

Wether it's true or not - but the moment James R Clapper, then Director of National Intelligence "forgot" to mention the billions of bits of data and meta-data the intelligence agencies collected on Americans in front of a Senat Select Committee hearing was later cited by Edward Snowden as a sort-of breaking-point for himself where he decided to go down the whistle-blowing route.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_...eillance,_2013

So, if somebody tells a lie, often there's a person that knows it's a lie. And it can backfire.

I'm still waiting for you to admit that you were untruthful/wrong saying those 4 people were under oath. Until you do that, there's no need for us to respond to one another again.

A pair of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's former classmates at Yale Law on Tuesday withdrew their support of him after previously endorsements.

Michael Proctor and Mark Osler wrote in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and ranking member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that they can no longer support Kavanaugh's confirmation because of the "nature" of his testimonty in front of the committee last week while addressing accusations of sexual misconduct.

Interesting article here about Kavanaugh from today's Telegraph.

After reading the Telegraph article what's the point in <<The FBI is currently conducting a new background investigation of Kavanaugh focusing on those accusations>> ?

If this is just a job-interview as you keep saying - why is it still going on? The man is too controversial for the job he's aiming at. End of.

In a letter written in 1983, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh describes himself and his friends as "loud, obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers" -- a stark contrast to the image Kavanaugh painted of himself during his testimony before the Senate last week.

The key question here is "Did Kavenaugh drink so much that he did not remember everything he did?" If so, then how credible are his denials of what he did?
