It's Mr Kavanaugh and his wife and kids at the swearing in ceremony. He is making all the classic violent shit moves - pushes her aside, claw at the base of the neck - and she looks terrified. It's horrible to watch.
Found it on twitter from your description, urrgh, true colors beaming though there. It seems we'll never have evidence for how he treated women as a teenager, but he claims to be a better person now, so make of that what you will.

That video is horrific. I haven't really been following the story, but that man is not a nice man.
I think you may find that supreme court judges, on the whole, are not very nice people.

Same as presidents.

You don't get to the top by stepping aside for others.

I'm surprised that it took a Trump to make people realize that.

The family were in the White House, in front of the world's media, standing next to Trump after having to endure a three week long circus. Is it any surprise they don't look comfortable?

Yeah, but there's ruthless in your career, willing to kill a few foreign babies for expedience (hi, Obama!) and there's grabbing your wife at the base of her neck in the classic grip of the vile little shit the world over.

Agree, I would also not be comfortable standing next to Trump

Pinned between Kavanaugh and his buddy. Not the first time we've heard that. Allegedly.

That was a fascinating read. Thank you!

I‘ve read accounts of Reagan‘s presidency where the hallmark of “smaller government” was simply ignoring agencies and letting them fall apart which provided protections to things as diverse as indigenous people, environment, land and health. This stuck a similar chord. I don’t have a reference, I read it a long time ago.

It is interesting too, the characterization of this very new type of money made without any sort of societal contract.

Of course, this is the view of one man from another, but Mercer sure doesn’t seem like a philanthropist. And maybe not a white supremacist, but more than a little racist, if what he’s reported to say is true.
Try watching the film (all the way to the end), it's really worth it as there is so much information - not only specifically the US-elections.

AAMOF Cambridge Analytica closed in May after the scandal.

The GOP party central officially claimed after the election that Cambridge Analytica data was flawed and little used in Trump's campaign, probably the truth will never be known.

Whatever, US politics will never be the same again after Trump!
LOL, that's your reaction? Did you bother to watch the film?
"Mommy" SCL is happily active all over the world.
Of course you're free to concentrate on Trump, who's only a puppet but a lot less scary than what's really going on. Politics has been very different before Trump. In the movie it's said Trump refused the offer for months, until he saw Brexit happening (ca. 44.40 in the German version).

However, I put the hint out there. Take it up or stick with twitter and FOX

Or the impression is again reinforced that he posts BS then runs away or resorts to whataboutery when called out on it, which was the only likely outcome tbh.

Amusingly you haven't quoted him mentioning your name once. Some of his barbs a bit close to home? I wonder how often you've replied to me?
That was my thought too, still, I'm flattered he took the time, I think he has a thing for me.

I meant it more from an "awkwardness" point of view (plus the frosty side-eye from her is funny).

He looks like he's been through a week of deaf and dumb dinners at home and she looks less than pleased that she's been wheeled out for the ceremony given the recent high profile shenanigans.

The kids look relaxed, though. Maybe they feel secure that mommy and daddy won't be chucking plates at each other when the cameras are on them...

There is another long article here on SCL and CA.

The world seems to split into two views that either they are fantastic at analysing data and using it for political influence or they are charlatans selling snake oil!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Surprising but positive news!

It will cost a little less to buy the benchmark Obamacare plan in 2019.

The average premium for the silver plan will decline by 1.5%, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said Thursday.
Next year will be the first time average premiums have fallen since the Affordable Care Act exchanges opened in 2014.

Only four states will have only one insurer, down from 10 states in 2018 so driving competition on price and service.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

What a shame!

Quote:
Trump, no longer ratings gold, loses his prime-time spot on Fox News
In a crucial period with the midterms less than a month away, some in the White House are worried that the president is losing a megaphone to his base.

Viewership numbers for the raucous prime-time events [Trump rallies] have been roughly similar to — sometimes dipping below — Fox News’ regular programming, and the network has recently stopped airing most of these evening events in full.

During three Trump rallies last week, Fox News showed clips and highlights from his speeches but stuck largely with its normal weekday prime-time programming.

On Tuesday, a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa, was particularly hard to find — it was not aired live on any major network.

He needs to come up with something more spectacular. For example, build the Mexico wall himself, invade some country or have a different hair cut.
