I think a lot of us saw this coming, but I had hoped that someone would have advised him against it.

I can bet that the "disenfranchised" people he represents find this perfectly OK though...you couldn't make that up.

He doesn't have common sense. Let's face it, a lot of his "team" are facing conflict of interests problems. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38526346
Why should the son-in-law be any different?

Trump is an incredibly smart hiring manager. Jared's appointment is the cherry on top. This is going to be an amazing presidential cabinet. Everyone is an accomplished high performer in their own rights.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | Americans care about the Supreme Court indeed.
He's not in office yet. Although he has established that manufacturers will be taking a hit if they offshore their production and try to re-import their goods. This has caused some to rethink their offshoring strategies. Meanwhile, companies from Ford, Apple, SoftBank Foxconn and even Alibaba.com are talking about setting up their production in the US to create new jobs.
In the area of finance, knowing he will be cutting corporate taxes, the market popped. Now, even economic institutions in the UK and Europe are planning growth.
We do have a mini-detente with Russia at the moment. They didn't react to the purging of their US diplomats. This may lead to a more permanent and long lasting detente with Russia if Trump is able to moderate the hardliners in the US.
Putin and Erdogan picked up the phone and arrange a seize fire in Syria upon realising Obama will not get in the way of it.
I'm interested to see what he does for the domestic economy, and how he might stimulate black and latino communities. It may be a couple of years before we see anything on that front. | | | | | Ah yes, all that may be true. But it's not the point.
But just look at Obama. He won the Nobel Prize after something like two weeks in office for doing ... well, for just being Obama. I don't think Trump can beat that. Therefore he is a failure. | The following 2 users would like to thank amogles for this useful post: | |

To date, Trump has proven the following to be failures:
-The Republican Party
-The Democratic Party
-US Presidential races
-Mainstream news media
-Meryl Streep
I think he's on course to prove many more failures:
-The Nobel Prize
-The UN
-The Pope
-etc
I am really enjoying how he is overturning conventional wisdom and debunking sacred cows. I would get bored and disappointed if he were to stop.
I find it entertaining when liberals howl for all the wrong reasons.

Meryl Streep? Seriously? "Proven" failure due to a tweet?
He's not "overturning conventional wisdom and debunking sacred cows." He's just being a tit.
And if that is the only thing keeping you from boredom and disappointment, you need to get out more.

Everyone is an accomplished high performer in their own rights. | | | | | Hmmmm. Ok, here I disagree. Kushner's daddy bought him a place at Harvard where he was an indifferent performer. If it's a cherry on top of anything, might be a nepotism sundae. Trump does value loyalty, and his sil is certainly loyal.
Take the education secretary designee.....what are her accomplishments beyond fund raising?
An amazing cabinet? Yes, perhaps. Amazement cuts both ways.
Edited: and then Kellyanne tells us to look in his heart, don't pay attention to his words (tweets). So now Americans have to be fortune tellers?
The Pope and Meryl Streep are failures? As if.

Well, I am afraid of that big headed man to be President. He comments everything on Twitter. Will he also loose his temper and tweet everything openly once he is in the White House? How can this man Keep a secret Operation they plan in the White House to himself? Seems impossible! He always wants to be the centre of attraction. And now he wants his family in there as well. Not looking forward to that bunch of people in the White House, for you never now what they are up to.

You're a parrotting troll, Phos, mindlessly repeating garbage just to stir up a reaction. You really should think about getting a job.

As if there is any value for all the Trump hating you folks spew, which is actually more disgusting than he is.
I think the way it will work is Trump would be a really awful president for the likes of Meryl Streep and some of you, but I really do believe he'll be a great president for middle class Americans. Which in the end, is more important than your opinions.
I'll make sure to boast about it as it comes to fruition, at any step of the way. Its already paying off in corporate decisions as we speak. MAGA!

And as for manufacturers deciding to move back to the USA, isn't that because he threatened to cripple them with import tax if they didn't? Bullies and threats are hardly the way to run a country.

Nothing like fat, juicy hypocrisy to keep the wheels of American commerce turning, is there now?

I believe this can reach minority communities in ways the Democrats parties have never been able to deliver. I think the upper midwest and the rust belt will come back to life and thrive.
If he does that, he can say and and tweet what he wants. He can kill off all the PC crap along the way.
