Hardly Tit for Tat. You are the master of false equivalency.
How not? You're the one the made the connection between number of casualties and severity of attack.

But to suggest that one side of the political debate is more dangerous than the other is just plain dumb.

The office of the special counsel investigating the 2016 election has asked the FBI to investigate whether women have been offered money to make claims of sexual harassment against Robert Mueller.

Mueller's office confirmed that they learned of the scheme from several journalists who were approached by a woman who said she had been offered $20,000 to make sexual assault allegations against Mueller, The Atlantic reported.

weirder upon weirder, the woman does not seem credible, she sent an email blast to multiple news organisations, there's no record of her working at a law firm with Mueller, she refuses to get on the phone and later changed her story to add Russia into the mix.

Also the allegations against Mueller stem from noted conspiracy theorist Jack Burkman and are supported by the recently set up 'Surefire Intelligence' which appears to be entirely staffed by fake linkedin accounts and has a contact number that goes to the answering machine of the mother of Jacob Wohl, a known associate of Burkman.

So the allegations look bullshit and the woman saying she was offered money to make fake allegations looks bullshit too. And the company investigating the allegations looks laughably bullshit.

I can't think of a scenario any of this makes sense unless there actually is an accuser and Burkman wanted to mislead the press so he could shout about fake news. Guess we'll find out on Thursday when he says he'll unveil his credible witness, who I fully expect to be a bearded Jacob Wohl in drag, possibly wearing a mourning veil because his puppy was mysteriously killed.

To be fair to Pence, he was not the one that extended the invitation. That was GOP House candidate Lena Epstein.

What's so sad about this is that the media coverage over the choice of "rabbi" and his words about Jesus are completely overshadowing the actual horror that happened to the victims.

Yes, the choice of speaker was stupid and insensitive. But he was only a speaker. He didn't commit the murders. You'd think from the media coverage he also shot the gun.

I agree about the media.

But Pence has a huge personal staff to protect him from such embarrassments so claiming he did not know who would be on the same platform with him is a weak excuse. I am sure they did check but in this case they were less than thorough.

You are also correct about the media coverage completely overshadowing the actual horror that happened to the victims. Sadly there are too many terrible incidents in the US so unfortunately people get accustomed to to the horror.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

More fake news.

"A United States congressional candidate has used a picture of a British seaside village to show what could happen if voters do not back President Trump.

An advert used an image of Jaywick Sands, near Clacton in Essex, to attack Dr Nick Stella's Democrat opponent.

The campaign picture, which showed an unpaved road and rundown homes, said: "Help President Trump keep America on track and thriving."

It has received angry criticism from locals and Tendring District Council.

Republican Dr Stella is standing in the 11th Illinois congressional district in the US mid-term elections against Bill Foster.

The advert, which was shared on Dr Stella's campaign Facebook page, showed a billboard congratulating congress speaker Nancy Pelosi and a message saying: "A vote for Foster is a vote for a speaker Pelosi. We can't go back to foreclosures, unemployment and economic recession."

From a Jewish perspective it‘s actually very insulting and disrespectful that they could not find a proper Jew. That‘s what I‘m hearing from people I know in Pittsburgh. And it promotes the idea that anti Semitism is not taken seriously by the administration. So it might be a bit more than “only a speaker”. I’m reading the local media a lot for this and finding decent info.
