I'd have thought you'd correct that post to "66 years ago". Also, coincidentally, the last president born in the 19th century.
The last sane head of state of the Colony presently called the United States of America was His Majesty King George III.

Anf he was stark raving mad.

(and German)

At least he was born in England. His missus was from what is now Germany, though, as were both of his parents. (I suppose he was as English as Trump is American.)

Not to digress.. But why not? Here is a consolidated report from Grassley regarding DR Ford's testimony (PS a conservative outlet but their findings are noteworthy):

http://thefederalist.com/2018/11/05/...ughs-accusers/

And one asks, what exactly did Dr Ford have to gain by entering a false/"hazy" (I am giving her the benefit of the doubt here!) accusation? Well, her Go Fund Me Accounts are up over a million thus far and she still appeals for more funds given her hardships...WOW!!

Ford deserves every cent, when she made the accusation she had no evidence that she would have profitable Go Fund Me Accounts.

From your link Grassley's report is full of statements from people also unsupported by other witnesses including a claim that Kav's friend Judge lost his virginity around 1985 when “he and several other boys from Georgetown Prep took turns having sex with a woman who was drunk.”

Yes, that would be it, for sure! Ford levied accusations against Kavanaugh with the sole intention of making a mint from the gullible public, through online donations. Brilliant foresight -- an ingenious plan, certainly. And presumably she also has another plan to ensure that all her newfound wealth is somehow ringfenced from the rapacious lawyers who will inevitably have become involved in all of this.

She's one smart cookie.

Midday yesterday

"Fox News" host Sean Hannity clarified Monday that he will not appear on stage when he attends President Trump's rally Monday evening in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on the eve of the midterm elections.
I am covering final rally for my show.

Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro joined President Trump on stage at his final campaign rally of the midterms, singing the president's praises and urging attendees to vote Republican.

And Trump complains about lack of objective reporting

Meanwhile election day today for mid terms; pity less than half of the eligible voters are expected to actually bother to vote.

America about to have their European migrant crisis moment? I'm sure they'll be showing us where we went wrong.

Yes, that's right! The "caravan" numbers up to a whopping 5,000 potential asylum seekers -- directly analagous to the 1.25 million first-time asylum applications received by the EU in 2015. I can't see any way that the United States, with its 325 million residents, can possibly absorb another 5,000.

Perhaps some of them could go and live at your house? I'm sure you could "absorb" them.

I wonder why this cretinous argument gets spouted every time people are talking about migration, as if it is a salient point. Perhaps you could ask, would you mind absorbing some of them in your town, but since when has rehoming immigrants with private residents ever been a policy?

Unless you are willing to have them come and live next door to you then you have no argument as this is what you are demanding of other people. You are the cretin.

Except you just totally changed your demands from living with, to living next door to. The Groundskeeper rides again.

I'll change it back to living with if you like. The point remains the same.

It really doesn't, and you know it. You've been embarrassed badly there, the honorable thing to do would be to suck it up and admit you changed your terms after being made to look daft. You won't, history tells us.
Go on, tell us with a straight face you think that living next door to somebody, and being forced to live with somebody in the same house, is the same thing.

The hysteria is quite something. You realise in this case it's a group of people that wouldn't fill even a quarter of a football stadium, don't you?

Trump is using the whole thing to whip up votes because the easily triggered are being jerked around on their chain without too much effort. A few buzzwords here and there to really get them frothing at the mouth and his work is done for the day.
