Trump'll be "proud" to shut down the government if he doesn't get the funding for his wall.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46515119

Duh, if he shuts down the government aren't they all out of a job? Sounds like a great idea to me.
OMFG, I just saw the video, Spanky got played for a sucker again, Schumer looked like he was trying hard not to do a fist pump. But but but, I thought they voted for this great deal maker?

Not surprising that Mueller's ratings fall while Trump, the GOP and allies keep attacking him.
Mueller's ratings? Since when have Justice Department special investigators been rated by the public? And what's the point? Do their ratings affect their end-of-year bonus? Or are these appointed officials' non-existent re-election chances affected by their ratings?

They may as well poll the public for their opinion of the weather. Or the owner of the local corner shop. Or anything else over which they have no control.

Now they got the House I believe Schumer and Pelosi have decided they do not need to play nice anymore. They are both much better at playing the Washington political game and while the Courts are blocking Spanky's most extreme policies then they do not need much from Trump unlike vice versa.

Anyway they must have their noses full of insulting tweets!

Meanwhile, another blow for (or perhaps from) Stormy:

"Donald Trump awarded nearly $US300,000 in legal fees in Stormy Daniels defamation lawsuit"

As Avenatti says, if she wins $1.5m from Trump and has to pay him $300k, how is that a victory for Trump?

Sounds more like a cash-back scheme.

Also, she has probably made a fortune out of book deals, media appearances etc.

Once out of office, Trump will have to give Melania half of his stuff. #winning

36 months for Michael Cohen... Plus an order to forfeit nearly $2 million.

Wow, quite harsh. Trump will be even more worried.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

In an explosive meeting in the Oval Office, Trump told Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that he could easily push $5 billion in wall funding through the House.
Pelosi told him the bill would fail spectacularly — and dared him to try.

Quote:
GOP struggles to win House votes for Trump’s $5B wall demand.
Since the Nov. 6 midterm election, scores of lawmakers, including those who lost their seats and others who won higher office, have been skipping votes, complicating vote-counting efforts.

Twenty-four lawmakers missed the vote on the farm bill Wednesday, including 17 Republicans.
Lawmakers in the House have until Dec. 21 to avert a partial government shutdown and are only scheduled to work four of those days.
Source

Also complicated by the fact that the GOP do not have a consistent and uniform position on anything!

I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed.
Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!

According to both NBC News and the Wall Street Journal the phrase ""in concert with" President Trump's campaign" means there was a meeting in Trump Tower to agree how to pay hush money to women in violation of campaign finance laws.
At the meeting were Michael Cohen, AMI media executive David Pecker and Spanky himself

Meanwhile Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are looking into whether President Trump's inaugural committee misspent funds or accepted donations in exchange for access to the administration; also from WSJ.

What's this? One of those brave, noble judges that has been protecting the rule of law and the integrity of the United States from the evil President Trump has just ruled that Obamacare is unconstitutional

I thought you were too smart to fall for Trump's rhetoric that judges are biased.

I was wrong!

Ryan Zinke out now, expect Jared Kushner to be named to the role soon.

cmon Spanky fans, seriously, is this chaos what you think counts a 'good' for a president? I mean, it's good entertainment, I'm laughing my ass off here, but entertainment is not really the function of the white house.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump's campaign, transition, inaugural committee and presidency are now under active criminal investigation.
His business -- the Trump Organization -- and his defunct charity -- The Trump Foundation are also under investigation (the charity investigation is a civil one).
His college -- Trump University -- has already been deemed a fraud.

The President himself has been indirectly fingered by New York prosecutors overseen by his own Justice Department of directing criminal attempts to subvert campaign finance laws.

Then there is a civil lawsuit brought by Democratic-led states rooted in claims that Trump's refusal to fully disengage from his businesses means he is using his position to profit from deals in his hotel chain that contravene the Constitution.

Source

There is a much longer list of lawsuits here

No doubt he will pardon himself

I would assume that the position will only be temporary given Mulvaney's opinion of P45?
