Looks like this Govt. shutdown will run for a long time.
The Dems believe Trump is blamed so they are in no hurry.
Trump himself does not really understand what Govt. employees do all day and thinks they are a waste of money and space so he is in no hurry either.

And who visits the NPs in winter anyway?

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Sunday marked Festivus by airing grievances and cracking jokes (Festivus is a made-up holiday that served as the theme of a “Seinfeld” episode).
Example | Quote: | | | | Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul)
Let’s start with POTUS I like the President, I honestly do.
I know people don’t believe me.
But the man seems to have a problem keeping staff around him.
But they solved the problem. I went to the White House the other day and there were at least 14 people in Mick Mulvaney masks.

For all of the sympathizers out there of Brett McGurk remember, he was the Obama appointee who was responsible for loading up airplanes with 1.8 Billion Dollars in CASH & sending it to Iran as part of the horrific Iran Nuclear Deal (now terminated) approved by Little Bob Corker. | | | | | Thought Trump claimed he did know McGurk?
So
1. McGurk was appointed by Bush not Obama.
2. They were returning Iran's own money.
3. Corker was strongly against the deal.
Only 3 lies in one tweet; Spanky is losing his touch!

I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security.

Trump's unprecedented attacks on the US central bank have smashed down the US stock markets again. The Dow fell over 600 points below 21,800 to levels not seen since July 2017.
All the major indices are more than 10% below their level at the start of this year. |

The S&P 500 is now officially in a bear market and the Dow Jones has fallen below 22,000 and is on track for its worst December since the Great Depression, more than 85 years ago. I am very thankful that I sold the last of my shares about a month ago, just 1% off their peak for the year, but I feel sorry for those who believe(d) in Trump and his, ahem, financial acumen.
Very well done, Trump. Unfortunately he can't blame this one on Obama -- despite attempting to take credit for all the earlier gains set up by Obama's administration. Of course, he is now trying to blame the Fed. I predict a sound financial rally will start the moment Trump is removed from office, however that is achieved.

So now the market is falling he simply has to repeat whatever he did last year to cause it to rise.
His problem is he did not actually do anything to drive the stock market rise so now he has nothing in his pocket to counter the falls. I posted September last year (as also did 22 yards) that it is foolish for a President to take credit for stock market rises because then he looks stupid when it falls again.
Knowing Trump his likely next move will be to fire the Fed president which will cause a huge stock market fall. | The following 3 users would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |

If Spanky has to agree with the experts in his intelligence service and acknowledge MBS ordered the dismemberment of Jamal Khasogghi then he and Jared can't be so cosy with them. After failing to extradite Fethullah Gulen they had to offer Erdogan something else, and a freehand to slaughter the Kurds will do just fine. That the Kurds are allies of the US and that betrayal forced Mattis to resign is inconvenient but hey it's just business.
'Good' president? seriously? it's a frickin cesspit.
