When she announced last month that tens of thousands of asylum seekers would be returned to Mexico while their cases are considered, the homeland security secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, described the move as a “historic” overhaul of US immigration policy.
But more than two weeks later, the new strategy has yet to begin and it remains unclear how the plan would work – or even if Mexico is willing to enforce it.
“I had heard rumors, but I was not consulted,” said Tonatiuh Guillén, head of Mexico’s national immigration authority, told the Guardian.
“The US can’t just dump people into Mexico". Source
Guillén said Mexico had not formally accepted the plan!

“Former @NYTimes editor Jill Abramson rips paper's ‘unmistakably anti-Trump’ bias.”
Ms. Abramson is 100% correct. Horrible and totally dishonest reporting on almost everything they write. Hence the term Fake News, Enemy of the People, and Opposition Party!
6:27 PM - 5 Jan 2019 | | | | | Sadly for Trump, Jill Abramson replied to Trump's tweet. | Quote: | | | | Jill Abramson@JillAbramson
Anyone who reads my book, Merchants of Truth, will find I revere @nytimes and praise its tough coverage of you
Jill Abramson added | | | | | Ironically it is Trump who always claims the "fake news" did not check their sources, which is exactly what Trump failed to do here.

We are working hard at the Border, but we need a WALL!
In 2018, 1.7 million pounds of narcotics seized, 17,000 adults arrested with criminal records, and 6000 gang members, including MS-13, apprehended.
A big Human Trafficking problem. | | | | | From Trump's own Drug Enforcement Administration in October 2018 about drug entry at the Southern border
The majority of the flow is entering the United States at legal ports of entry, https://www.dea.gov/sites/default/fi...resolution.pdf
Sigh!

In fact they can never be trusted. | | | | | What does that say about Trump's claims about record lows of unemployment and new jobs created? The Fed's interest rate, and inflation? Federal debt and the budget deficit? And what about (until about half a year ago) new record highs for all major stock market indices?

The Failing New York Times has knowingly written a very inaccurate story on my intentions on Syria. No different from my original statements, we will be leaving at a proper pace while at the same time continuing to fight ISIS and doing all else that is prudent and necessary!.....
3:55 PM - 7 Jan 2019 | | | | | Meanwhile in the real world. | Quote: | | | | Trump first announced the withdrawal on Dec. 19, administration officials said he ordered troops to begin leaving Syria in 30 days.
The president also declared the U.S. had “defeated ISIS in Syria,” making the withdrawal possible.
Trump later extended the timeline to four months, but now Bolton’s new conditions could delay the withdrawal for even longer.
The national security adviser, John Bolton, who is visiting Israel and Turkey said U.S. forces would remain in Syria until the last of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is defeated and the administration secures a guarantee from Turkey that it will not attack Kurdish forces in Syria, | | | | | Source
Like Bolton, State Department head, Pompeo is also in the Middle East doing damage control after Trump. Seems Bolton is an adult after all!

And I wonder- is there a single EF member, out of the 74, who would happily and proudly own up to still be a Trump supporter ?

IMO staying for the short term, allowing for previously ISIS occupied cities to recover, then phasing out troops is the best plan. But I suspect Bolton would like to transition it to something more... It's frightening that Gen. Mattis is now out of the equation. With the exception of ISIS targted drone strikes, which spiked under Trump/Mattis, he had ironed out much of Trump's more erratic tendencies.

If the caricaturist who drew Brianzoeu's attached pic is dyslexic, does that mean that the publication fired anyone who could spell/spellcheck? *Clinton's name is misspelled. |
