In any case, it will still cost the U.S. a fortune in airfares, hotels, attendance fees, and security. According to Bloomberg, "The U.S. delegation to the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Switzerland is to include Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Secretary Robert Lighthizer, among other top administration officials."
Such responsible spending. | | | | | you can't put a price on making America great again, but if you did it would include 3mi/weekend to play golf in Florida, but whatcha gonna do? not play golf at the expense of the suckers? as if.

The veteran who set up the GoFundMe for President Trump's border wall allegedly pocketed money meant for wounded veterans in the past.
Representatives at the military hospitals [quoted] told Buzzfeed News that they did not have a record of Kolfage donating the money [from a GoFundMe] or working at their facilities.
Kolfage's fundraising effort for Trump's proposed border wall has so far received more than $20 million of a $1 billion goal from 334,860 donations. Source
Goodbye $20 million!!
It is anyway not clear how a private individual can give the US Govt. a donation linked to a specific project. | Quote: | | | | The Bureau of the Fiscal Service may accept gifts donated to the United States Government to reduce debt held by the public. Acting for the Secretary of the Treasury, Fiscal Service may accept a gift of Money, only on the condition that it be used to reduce debt held by the public. | | | | | | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

Unintentionally prophetic 1958 film about guy named Trump building a wall and being found out to be a charlatan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQJMek9b7SA
Had to fact-check it to make sure but apparently it really exists... | The following 2 users would like to thank for this useful post:

I'm a bit disappointed that Trump gets his ideas from old tv series.
Let me check some Mr Ed episodes if there are more of such parallels.

“Because of the Democrats intransigence on Border Security and the great importance of Safety for our Nation, I am respectfully cancelling my very important trip to Davos, Switzerland,” | | | | | That just cuts it short. Because of the wall there's no budget hence no way to legally pay for the costs of the trip.
The same happened last time, just then they reached agreement early enough.

Trump's tweet on CNN's claim that many Transport Security Admin people are calling in sick instead of working for no pay | Quote: | | | | Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump
Great Tweet today by Tyler Q. Houlton @SpoxDHS on the #FakeNews being put out by @CNN, a proud member of the Opposition Party.
@TSA is doing a great job!

Airport spokesman Greg Chin told the Miami Herald that federal screeners are calling in sick at double the normal rate for Miami, and TSA managers aren't confident they will have enough workers to operate all 11 checkpoints throughout the airport at normal hours. | | | | | Source
The Govt. shutdown is hurting the wrong people; tough on the employees who just want to work and be paid and not be facing risks of hunger and eviction!

In other news, Spanky trying to use Puerto Rico relief funds to build that wall, I mean it's not like they are *real* americans https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-c...nal-emergency/
this barrel must have a bottom soon.

As only one of two people left who could become President, why wouldn’t the FBI or Department of “Justice” have told me that they were secretly investigating Paul Manafort (on charges that were 10 years old and had been previously dropped) during my campaign? Should have told me!
3:25 PM - 3 Jun 2018 | | | | | Due to a failure by Manafort's lawyers we now know the FBI were investigating him for meeting with Konstantin Kilimnik, an alleged Russian intelligence agent, while he was Trump's campaign manager and allegedly sharing campaign polling data. So not "10 years old" crimes.
Why would Russia want the Trump campaign’s polling data?
The contested swing states that Trump narrowly—and surprisingly—won, such as Michigan and Wisconsin, were also places where both the Trump campaign and Russia’s Internet Research Agency [Hacking & social media] focused their efforts.

Seems to be an artist impression of what a wall might look like rather than an actual wall!
Better than nothing I suppose
Edit; it is claimed that Mexican scrap metal merchants are expecting a bonanza following an upsurge in sales of heavy duty steel saws.

And still people are taken in - my cousin from AZ wrote to me that 'we trust our President to do what is best for us' - it s mind boggling, in her Christmas card.

Seems alot of these federal workers ( and alot of amis ) live from one pay check to the next. And alot of them seem up to their neck in debt. They are partly to blame for their money problems
