Are you talking about Alexander Dubček? The former Czechoslovak First Secretary/President who died after a car accident in 1992?

As I forecast Trump is already wriggling off the hook.
He has announced his plan to make a big increase in US tariffs on China imports on March 1st is now on hold without announcing any new date. Consequently taking the pressure of China to make a deal.

Trump has made this change without announcing any matching concessions from the Chinese.

Does not look like a great deal is on the way?

Sorry, yeah - the car accident was fishy and it was '92, correct. '68 he was arrested by Russkies and a held captive until he signed, he was flown to Russia, too, I don't remember the details.

So Dubček was assassinated in 1968 yet yet didn't die until a car accident in 1992. Long and agonizing death, huh?

Actually the Senate vote was on criminalising doctors in the extremely unlikely event a live infant is born after an abortion and subsequently dies.

In this rare event of a live infant being born after an abortion, the existing legislation ensures medical staff have the usual duty of care.

Spanky also failed to mention some Senate Republicans also voted against this Bill.

Two of the four US states (California, New Mexico) bordering Mexico have withdrawn their troops from the military that Trump assigned to the border. Reason given is "it is not an emergency".

Trump just arrived in Vietnam

Strange how this summit is organised, usually they ensure the leaders have similar trips to the summit.
This time the young guy has a comfortable 3 day train journey across two time zones.
The old guy has an all day flight with two refuelling stops across 14 time zones.

I am sure they will be equally fit for the meeting!

I just can't take this seriously, dictator and wannabe dictator exchange meaningless promises. I feel for Otto Warmbiers parents just now, this must be hard to watch.

In their appeals brief, AT&T reminded the court of what Trump said when he was running for president, citing a press release from the Trump campaign that said the then-candidate would block the merger "and thus the wildly anti-Trump CNN."

The DOJ have so far failed to provide any facts that convince a Court to support blocking this merger.

That was NOT my point at all! In the context of this case, most were calling this (at first) a black "hate" crime. Of course black, hispanic and Asians can be racist. Why would you deduce that I claim racism is is only "limited" to white people?

Smollet's claims from the outset were far fetched and did not add up. Common sense would dictate that something was amiss in his reporting of events.

I believe the media should have done a better job at investigating his claim. Simple as that! You can disagree with me but I think many in the media present whichever suits their own bias - and I include conservative and liberal outlets here.
