I believe the media should have done a better job at investigating his claim. Simple as that! You can disagree with me but I think many in the media present whichever suits their own bias - and I include conservative and liberal outlets here. | | | | | You think the conservative outlets present with a conservative bias and the liberal outlets present with a liberal bias? Well I never, I wonder if thats how they got the monikers 'conservative' and 'liberal'

Cohens opening statement to the closed hearing released https://int.nyt.com/data/documenthel...ull.pdf#page=1
Some highlights from a man who knew him very well "He is a racist.
He is a conman.
He is a cheat." "When I say conman, I’m talking about a man who declares himself brilliant but directed me to threaten his high school, his colleges, and the College Board to never release his grades or SAT scores."
"Mr. Trump is a racist. The country has seen Mr. Trump court white
supremacists and bigots. You have heard him call poorer countries
“shitholes.”
In private, he is even worse.
He once asked me if I could name a country run by a black person that
wasn’t a “shithole.” This was when Barack Obama was President of the
United States." "Donald Trump is a man who ran for office to make his brand great, not to make our country great. He had no desire or intention to lead this nation – only to market himself and to build his wealth and power. Mr. Trump would often say, this campaign was going to be the “greatest infomercial in political history.”
Well done Spanky fans, bravo, you fell for an infomercial | The following 4 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |

I'm not impressed though. Nothing new. Nothing substantial.
Handing in newspaper articles? The world has read them, I suspect. Printed out tweets?
He sounds to me like someone who just came out of a sect, blaming the Guru for being dazzling or a divorcee "I was so inlove, I couldn't help myself".
However, to me what I just read is unsubstantial babbling.

This seems to have been timed to divert headlines from any Trump success over North Korea.

It's always the little things that bring down people like Trump.
The personally signed hush-money check and evidence for him embezzling Trump Foundation money might be the things that come back to bite him.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | That was NOT my point at all! In the context of this case, most were calling this (at first) a black "hate" crime. Of course black, hispanic and Asians can be racist. Why would you deduce that I claim racism is is only "limited" to white people? | | | | | Because that's what you say. Or rather, how I understand what you say, and I'm far from the only one, see the thanks.
I would agree that everybody's biased, though to different degrees, and that we all misphrase occasionally. Perhaps you placed quite a few dots too many, in which case your post highlights the importance of punctuation.

The Trump financial statements Cohen mentioned are now published.
His net worth jumped from ca. $5B in 2012 to ca. $9B in 2013 simply by adding a new item in 2013 called "Brand value" @ $4B.
Which might lead to some questions like;
How was this "Brand value" calculated?
Why was the "Brand value" zero in 2012?

Wow, this is embarrassing, the Rep committee members are not even pretending to be interested in getting any information from Cohen, they are just shouting at the guy.
Have to say Cohen is coming over as reasonable and the Reps as deranged and desperate.
This is not the party of Lincoln.

Remember the proverb "Set a thief to catch a thief"?
Or to put it another way, if you want to investigate criminal activity then you have to talk to the criminals involved. It is useless talking to honest people who were not part of it!

Cohen has released a second $35K check, this one signed by Donald Trump Jr. and also alleged to be a payment for Stormy.
GOP are still concentrating on attacking Cohen's credibility and avoiding actually attacking the content of his accusations?

OMFG, I just saw the anti-Cohen placards the Reps had placed in the room, I think I got a cringing injury, these clowns are the best they have? this is pathetic, whats next? the going to give him a wedgie and flush his evidence down the toilet?
Compare and contrast with the very classy statement from Stephanie Clifford https://twitter.com/StormyDaniels/st...42299439894528

Perhaps you placed quite a few dots too many, in which case your post highlights the importance of punctuation. | | | | | And so...much can be lost in translation. Fair enough! But those you referenced in the "thanks"? Same old, same old.... aside from one perhaps.
So what we are talking about here is "HOW" one tends to interpret posts. And your post and others' "thanks" and their repeated posts tell me that most are inclined to "nit pick" to prove their own narrative. Wow! Just like the media to whom I referenced...
So let's be adults and agree to disagree. Is that possible?

It is about applying punctuation in the way it's commonly done with the meaning it commonly has. You've gone agaisnt that rule, so you're understood in a different way than you intended.
No surprise there, nor reason to be upset. Isn't it in Alice in Wonderland where a character says "that word means whatever I intend it to mean at that particular moment", or something to that end.
