I went to bed baffled last night.
Nothing like a good baffling before bed, takes me back to my years at Eton, baffled to within an inch of me life some nights. Never did me any harm, slight limp notwithstanding.

Is the evidence Cohen handed in actually being examined?
On this path now, next thing will be riots and then what? Civil war? Are the Republicans really that desperate that they have to hang on to Trump, no matter what?
Seems not, none of the Reps cared anything for the evidence, their mission was to protect Spanky, no matter what. One that did address the evidence, the guy dressed like he thought he was going to a wedding, demanded this treasure trove of evidence was turned over, being ignorant that it was turned over, and returned.

So "what you're saying" is:
If the current governement does not want a crime or a scam or what ever might have happened against the law investigated - it does not get investigated in the US?

Ah, OK. I took that squiggly mess to be one signature, presumably Donnie Jr's.

When research becomes cheating in a human's mind, that's when we know we've reached the end.

Sort of. The judiciary is still independent, but in the case of Trump, he can't be charged and tried for regular crimes while in office. The only trial that can take place is in the House to impeach him. It might come to this, and the Ds have enough votes to do it. Not sure it's a wise course of action.

Then the Senate would have to vote to remove him from office, which they are very unlikely to do given that the Rs are in control of the Senate.

Once he's out of office, he can be charged just like anyone else. He's toyed with the idea of pardoning himself before.

Of course, Trump has the power to do that although he has denied so doing.
Probably not one of his wisest decisions?

Assuming he even makes it to the election on 3 November, 2020. I find it amazing that the next presidential election in the US will most likely see a 74-year-old Donald Trump pitted against either Bernie Sanders, 79, or Joe Biden, just shy of his 78th birthday. The US has never yet had an octogenarian president...

Unfortunately, our president's attitude of say what you think, who cares if it's blatantly false and/or hurtful/hateful, and the us vs. them mentality seems to seeped into everything. It's truly getting to a point beyond words.
