1. How did Spanky manage to turn down Conway for a job when "POTUS doesn’t even know him!"??
2. This tweet "Brad Parscale@parscale" does not show up in Parscale's tweet history? | | | | | Actually Parscale quotes his own post, the same quote Trump quoted. No idea why you don't see it but it's definitely there.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President?
This could be one reason Trump is getting agitated, it was revealed yesterday! | Quote: | | | | Special counsel Robert Mueller began investigating Michael Cohen (ex Trump lawyer) nearly a year before the FBI raided the former Trump attorney’s properties in New York last April, according to documents unsealed Tuesday.
The heavily redacted documents, released by prosecutors in response to a court order, reveal that the FBI sought and obtained warrants to search Cohen’s electronic communications as far back as July 2017 | | | | | Source
So the FBI were reading Cohen's emails and listening to his phone calls as far back as July 2017
Of course, the FBI cannot use anything that falls under Lawyer/Client privilege but that privilege only applies to past activities; any new planning of illegal acts is not covered, if there was any such planning.

This is what happens when you start a policy of locking up all migrants without a corresponding increase in detention centres and immigration courts.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | CANADA REAPING REWARDS OF U.S. EXIT FROM TPP:
Anxiety among U.S. producers of beef, wheat and other commodities has reached new levels now that Canada and other countries in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership — the new iteration of the TPP that President Donald Trump abandoned early in his presidency — finally have preferential access to one of their most prized markets: Japan.
“We’re just now getting the first results, and the preliminary indications are that year-over-year growth has been impressive,” Jim Carr, Canada’s minister for trade diversification, told POLITICO. “The moment is particularly promising for Canada.”
Overall, Japan imported 60 percent more beef from other [non-US] CPTPP countries in January compared with the same month in 2018. | | | | | Meanwhile Trump seems to be intent on delaying or spoiling a new trade deal with China! | Quote: | | | | Trump said yesterday that he would keep tariffs in place on $250 billion worth of Chinese goods until it’s clear that Beijing is complying with any trade deal that is reached.
"We're talking about leaving them ... for a substantial period of time because we have to make sure that if we do the deal with China that China lives by the deal,” | | | | | Meanwhile despite Trump's tariffs the U.S. trade deficit in goods hit a record $891.3 billion in 2018, the widest ever, defying President Trump’s efforts to narrow the gap, as imports jumped and some exports, including soybeans and other farm products, got hammered by retaliation against U.S. trade policies.

Even after around a thousand pages here , I am no closer to understanding US politics!
For example, | Quote: | | | | The Senate Budget Committee on Friday unveiled a 2020 resolution that ignores President Trump's request for turbo-charging defense spending in the off-book Overseas Contingency Operation (OCO), leading to a proposed net decrease in both defense and non-defense spending.
In his budget proposal, Trump called for increasing overall defense spending to $750 billion.
The GOP led Senate are proposing defense spending at $643 billion, some $73 billion below the current level of $716 billion, and well below the president's request.
They did leave a door open that defense spending could be increased if savings are made elsewhere or if new revenues are found. With a Dem led House there is unlikely to be any major savings agreed in non defense spending areas.
In fact, top Democrats on the House committee want to pair any defense spending increases with non-defense spending increases | | | | | Source
I just find it strange that a country President sets out what they want in a budget and are then basically ignored by the budget setters!

Sometimes I believe George Conway (husband of Kellyanne) is correct when he says Spanky is nuts!
Today's example | Quote: | | | | President Trump said today he would reverse sanctions against North Korea that were recently announced by the Treasury Department, a surprise declaration that sparked confusion in Washington and raised fresh doubts about the White House’s policy process.
In a tweet, Trump wrote that “it was announced today by the U.S. Treasury that additional large scale Sanctions” would be imposed in addition to “already existing Sanctions on North Korea.”
“I have today ordered the withdrawal of those additional Sanctions!” the president added. | | | | | Source | Quote: | | | | In a brief statement, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders attributed the decision to Trump’s relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
“President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary,” she said. | | | | | WTF!!
Trump's announcement amounted to a startling rebuke of policy action announced by his own government, once again calling attention to the unconventional and undisciplined policy process that has often defined the Trump administration.
"Important actions today from @USTreasury," Trump's national security adviser, John Bolton, tweeted yesterday. "The maritime industry must do more to stop North Korea's illicit shipping practices. Everyone should take notice and review their own activities to ensure they are not involved in North Korea's sanctions evasion."
In a statement announcing the sanctions, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said that the US believes "the full implementation of North Korea-related UN Security Council resolutions is crucial to a successful outcome" of denuclearizing North Korea.
"Treasury will continue to enforce our sanctions, and we are making it explicitly clear that shipping companies employing deceptive tactics to mask illicit trade with North Korea expose themselves to great risk," Mnuchin said.

and more from George Conway! Even in Fox news | Quote: | | | | George Conway@gtconway3d
THINK about the fact that we don’t just have a mentally unstable president—but a president who thinks he needs to be re-elected to avoid being indicted. (At least in that one respect his thinking is clear.) | | | | | |

Maybe the tax cuts and tariffs were not such a great idea? | Quote: | | | | The federal deficit hit $234 billion in February, according to new data from the Treasury Department. A new record , the previous monthly record was set seven years ago, at $231.7 billion.
Five months into the fiscal year, which began in October, the deficit has already surpassed half a trillion dollars, reaching $544 billion. | | | | | Source
So on track for a deficit of well over one trillion this year - Last month, the debt surpassed $22 trillion for the first time in the nation's history.
Not as planned! | Quote: | | | | Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump
The trade deficit rose to a 7yr high thanks to horrible trade policies Clinton supports. I will fix it fast- JOBS!

Sleepless weekend for Spanky? | | | | | I very much doubt it, after seeing the AG's performance at the embarrassing Spanky praising that was the veto signing I can't see him taking 'in the public interest' seriously. So, southern district of NY, you're on.

Sleepless weekend for Spanky? | | | | | Maybe not. There were no additional indictments, such as for Kushner or Don Jr. Democrats must be sorely disappointed by that.
I have a feeling the report will show that various members of Trump's team tried to buddy up with Russia but either weren't competent enough or there's not enough evidence to convict. Similar to Clinton's email server issue - dumb stuff done, but no laws broken. It will be interesting to see how much Barr releases to Congress and the public.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President?
Special Counsel report summary from US AG.
1. The report confirms Russia interfered in the 2016 election¨.
The investigation did not establish that members of Trump's campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian Govt. to support election interference
2. Obstruction of Justice
This report does not conclude the President committed a crime. It also does not exonerate him!
