Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The plot thickens!!
Quote:
Washington Post claims the special counsel Mueller wrote in a letter to Barr that Barr’s March 24 memo to Congress did not "capture the context, nature, and substance" of his findings on Russia's election interference and the Trump campaign.

Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said in a statement to The Hill that Mueller “expressed frustration over the lack of context and the resulting media coverage” of his obstruction inquiry in a phone call following the release of Barr’s memo.
Source

So DOJ has confirmed Mueller was not happy with Barr's memo.
Never ending story.....

Meanwhile Trump with consummate skill has pinned only the first one of a double tweet to the top of his twitter account which now looks dumb?
Quote:
Pinned Tweet

Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

If Cuban Troops and Militia do not immediately CEASE military and other operations for the purpose of causing death and destruction to the Constitution of Venezuela, a full and complete....
They should have a competition for the best ending

My poor offering "second tweet will be sent"

theres more to it that that, Barr was in possession of Muellers letter and had a followup call with Mueller 2 weeks before this exchange before congress.
"Did Bob Mueller support your conclusion?" Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland asked on April 10 before a congressional committee.

"I don't know whether Bob Mueller supported my conclusion," Barr responded.

Oh deal, the AG lied to congress.

a very full, and very complete, some people say the most completednesstest
fullest and complete, I don't know if it's the best but top ten anyway, people have said to me they have never seen such a complete full.

Another Trump U turn
Quote:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

I am overriding the Decommission Order of the magnificent aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman, built in 1998 (fairly new), and considered one of the largest and finest in the world. It will be updated at a fraction of the cost of a new one (which also are being built)!

12:50 PM - 1 May 2019
It was Trump's idea to decommission it about halfway through its normal useful life!
The USS Harry S. Truman will not be retired early, Vice President Mike Pence announced Tuesday, when he visited the ship pier-side at Naval Station Norfolk.

Clearly the Pentagon had not been informed; on the same Tuesday Adm. Bill Moran, the vice chief of naval operations, was defending the decision to mothball the carrier in testimony on Capitol Hill.
Asked by Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., if the Navy would turn down the money to keep the Truman afloat, Moran was careful not to commit to saving the ship.

“We wouldn't decline more money,” Moran said, adding, “Even if you added money, I think we would have to be very careful about how that money was allocated.”

Obviously the Trump administration is not as chaotic as some people claim!

Five of these tweets were re-tweets and have now been deleted by Trump.

It seems these were originally fake tweets apparently supporting Trump but containing subtle hints in the content in the address like "f##k Trump" and they were designed to determine if Trump was dumb enough to retweet them!

Whoosh, I'm not getting these at all, they look like normal yes men tweets.

In other news Bill Barr release his summary of the Mueller letter to him,

Hi Bill,
I have to register my disapproval of the font you used, apart from that you are doing a great job and so is the president.

Hugs

The account changed its name and profile image shortly after Trump's retweet. It now has an image of the campaign logo for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) White House bid.
It changed its display name to read "F--- Donald Trump" Wednesday morning following Trump's retweet of a seemingly innocuous reply indicating support for the president.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Earlier this year Trump announced he would nominate Herman Cain and Stephen Moore to serve on the Federal Reserve Board-

Now both have withdrawn; basically because Trump never bothered to vet their backgrounds and then so much negative stuff came out it was difficult for them to continue....

Every week in the White House is chaotic amateur week.

In 2017, Foxconn (Iphone manfacturer) announced in the White House alongside Trump their plans to build a $10 billion factory in Wisconsin. Foxconn would receive more than $4 billion in incentives from taxpayers.

Now Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has said that the company wants to change its agreement with Wisconsin as it lags behind its planned investments in the state.
According to reports, the company now plans to open a significantly smaller facility with jobs mainly for engineers instead of factory workers.

Trump met with the CEO of Foxconn yesterday but there was no announcement that Foxconn would stick with their $10 billion plan.

Quote:
President Trump on Friday claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin "is not looking to get involved" in Venezuela, contradicting some of his top advisers who have condemned Moscow for bolstering embattled President Nicolás Maduro. Trump spoke with Putin over the phone for more than an hour on Friday,
What Trump's top advisers say
Quote:
Hours before Trump's comments, national security adviser John Bolton tweeted that "Maduro is only clinging to power because of the support of Russia and Cuba, the only foreign military forces in Venezuela."
and

Quote:
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held a call with his Russian counterpart on Wednesday where warned "the intervention by Russia and Cuba is destabilizing for Venezuela and for the U.S.-Russia bilateral relationship."
Even Trump himself in March
Quote:
Trump had previously warned against Russian involvement in Venezuela, declaring in March that "Russia has to get out" amid reports that Moscow had sent military planes to the South American country.

Trump orders firing of U.S. Secret Service chief.
Trump instructed his acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to fire Secret Service Director Randolph Alles.

Mr Alles was appointed by Mr Trump in April 2017. A former two-star Marine Corps general, he was the first Secret Service director in at least a century not to have come from within the agency.

Wondered what he did wrong to upset Spanky!

Secret service is part of the Department of Homeland Security and there are rumours of a wholesale DHS purge!!
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan has named Randolph “Tex” Alles, the former head of the Secret Service, to a top Homeland Security post. As Deputy Under Secretary for Management at the Department of Homeland Security Alles will have a very senior role!

Source

WTF?

Alles had departed the agency amid reports that his relationship with Trump had soured for months. Trump reportedly made fun of the Secret Service director’s appearance, calling him “Dumbo” because of his ears.

Freedom of speech does not apply to private companies; they can ban whoever they want to......

Of course banning people who do not support Spanky is OK for him

Seems the US/China trade talks are not going so well as Trump boasts?
Either he is trying to force the Chinese to compromise further or he has completely lost the plot!
Quote:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

For 10 months, China has been paying Tariffs to the USA of 25% on 50 Billion Dollars of High Tech, and 10% on 200 Billion Dollars of other goods.
These payments are partially responsible for our great economic results.
The 10% will go up to 25% on Friday.
325 Billions Dollars of additional goods sent to us by China remain untaxed, but will be shortly, at a rate of 25%.
The Tariffs paid to the USA have had little impact on product cost, mostly borne by China.
The Trade Deal with China continues, but too slowly, as they attempt to renegotiate. No!
Trump has not yet grasped that it is the US consumers who pay the tariffs via higher sales costs from the US importers who do pay the tariffs, the Chinese do not pay anything?

Spanky says Mueller shouldn't testify before Congress, I can see his point, who wants facts and honesty clouding the issue?

I have to say, I'm looking forward to this.

In other news, I read in the Mueller report some fun details on how the Russians were playing the Spanky fans, on 55th birthday of the guy in charge of manipulating the Spanky supporters. His team took it upon themselves to make some Spanky supporters post photos of themselves outside the white house holding signs saying "Happy 55th birthday Dear Boss"
