Can't wait until Friday!

Quote:
More than 70,000 people have signed onto a petition that seeks to rename the portion of Fifth Avenue in front of the Trump Tower in Manhattan after former President Obama.

“The City of Los Angeles recently honored former President Barack Obama by renaming a stretch of the 134 Freeway near Downtown L.A. in his honor,” reads the online petition, which had racked up nearly 71,000 signatures on MoveOn.org as of Tuesday afternoon.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I’m not one to follow viral threads an the such like. But here’s an interesting take on why or how many (white) young people, are being pushed towards the right. Hope this doesn’t trigger too many Alt-right snowflakes! My point here is how the Trump support network reinforces these attitudes using political correctness as a point of contention. Calling out those that oppose Trump by labelling them in these ways.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I wonder how a post Brexit deal with Trumps US will entail following America into further conflicts, seeing as John Bolton is the architect of a US/UK deal and he he has been instrumental in many of the US’ recent conflicts.

There is also the faint possibility the Trump economy is not so good as he claims

Marton, I don’t see those numbers as being particularly relevant. At least half of those 645 days are more related to the previous president. And he apparently is as good as that Clinton guy.

All hail the previous President

Dow currently down over 600 because the bond market is signalling a recession

The 10-year Treasury bond yield fell below 1.6% Wednesday morning, dropping just below the yield of the 2-year Treasury bond. It marked the first time since 2007 that 10-year bond yields fell below 2-year yields.
In the past when 10 year yields fell below 2 year then a recession followed in one to two years.

Of course, a tweet could turn it all around

Chinese tariffs delayed until after Xmas to avoid any adverse impact on US shoppers before the festive season.

but, but but he said China are paying the tariffs, not the US shoppers????

Sounds like someone is starting to understand how tariffs work.

Trump has found a new excuse for failing to resolve his trade war. He now says "no deal before China deals humanely with Hong Kong".

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

So Mike Pence is going to visit Ireland in September and he faces a dilemma h needs to shore up his Irish roots for the upcoming elections... the obvious thing would be for him to visit Doonbeg Co. Clare, the place, but there is a problem... it's also where Trump whats to build his other wall, the one where he admits climate change is a real thing and he needs a sea wall to protect his golf course from erosion! So Irish/American votes versus highlighting Trump's other climate believes....

Well, he's after the wrong thing if he wants the world's biggest island because Australia holds that, even if it's also a continent.

Why bother with Greenland when Trump can buy the UK at bargain basement prices, seeing how
desperate Boris and HMG are to strike a trade deal with the United States and besides
there's always been a hankering amongst certain British Eurosceptic politicians, for Britain to
become the 51st State of the USA anyway.
