Because the left overused nazi so much that it lost its effectiveness and they needed a new label for anyone who dares to disagree with them?

People have been called racist xenophobic bigots repeatedly for expressing a rational view or objective observation that questioned leftist narratives. It was so ludicrous that recipients sort of took it and ran with it to troll, even though that "Nazi" might have been a black mother of three somewhere concerned about society.

The leftist tards fueled alt-right by their ludicrous behavior.

As I understand it, and feel free to point me to other points of view, alt-right, as they define themselves, is not just these ingredients, but mixed with a lot of misogyny, racism, homophobia, antisemitism and finally and essentially, nihilism: a love of chaos and pointless destruction. It seems to be not really political at all. Just an amusing game for white boys.

Otherwise it's simply hypocrisy.

Trump doesn't truly represent Republicans or Republican values. He's hijacked the Republican party as the vehicle that will steer him to very top before he pops his clogs.

Trump is just an old, rich dude with his name on a plane and a number of buildings. Plane's rust. Buildings get knocked down to make way for new ones. He has absolutely no loyalty to anyone other than himself and his family, and this is his last shot at immortality.

I feel damned sorry for the poor saps who voted for him and for the Republican party faithful who don't recognise him as one of their own.

It depends how you define a republican.
He campaigned on and is enacting paleoconservative republican agenda, spot on:

Please point me to a period in time when racism wasn't rampant.
White westerners are probably the least racist people in the world.

And that makes it acceptable?

I am not sure why you are all in denial that the Alt Right are anything other then Xenophobic, Homophobic bigots and if we were to compare them to anything it would be a dressed up Neo Nazi. I get that Trump might not be Alt Right, but Bannon definitely is.

Trump killed these people. His ban on Muslims and the Canadian prime minister saying that refugees are welcome provoked this murder. The blood is on Trumps hands!

How dangerous are these people and their beliefs, especially in recent times when they've been emboldened by Trump?

Should the people who share these ideologies keep an eye out for radicalisation within their midst and apologise on their behalf?

How small are Trump's hands?

Just asking questions.

So a lot of Nazis don't think of themselves as Nazis, because they're not Nazis?

Calling someone a Nazi doesn't make them a Nazi.

What a joke. Its just that many Westerners hide it under their mask of " respectability". Remove that and you get a full blown racist

No a white supremacist knob end killed those people. Don't excuse his intolerance, by passing the blame onto Trudeau, who has set an example of decency and compassion towards the refugee crisis and in response to Trumps outrageous use of prejudice as an excuse for national security.

The term 'Nazi" stems from Germany's National Socialism. It's historical. Modern day right wing thugs are fascists.

Branding racist, ill-informed bigots as Nazis is geographically and historically incorrect.

And about extreme left wing activists and muck-stirrers; their manifestos of hate are virtually identical to those on the extreme right. Just replace certain words in their vile rhetoric and you have the same meaning. The right wingers just seem to have more money behind them as they seem to have less of an aversion to working.

I am not passing the blame onto Trudeau. It was not meant to say that. What Trudeau did was good. As I said the blood is on Trumps hands and the cronies behind him.

I don't think they would protests as much even if they had less aversion to working, fewer illusions and more time.

Left can be as dogmatic/intollerant/discriminatory as anything else, people seem to mix a few things together. The whole "white priviledge" is a pretty discriminatory term, that card seems to be pulled out freely without folks facing hysterics from those who are labelled.

A culture of entitlement will breed certain work ethics, in my experience.

Woah guys, during the period between 1933 and 1945 everybody in Germany was a Nazi, incremental at first but soon every run of the mill generic German was a Nazi, there was no other way, you could not be anything else if you wanted a wage, health care, social services, basic needs and things that were suppled by the state. They were people just like you and I with all their weaknesses and strengths, fears and hopes. To compare these people with the so-called Alt-right is an insult to the Nazis. What we are seeing here is the similar kind of situation like that what triggered the French revolution, instead of aloof and arrogant monarchies living on what amounts to another planet you have champagne socialists, politically correct fanatics, libertarian dreamers, the Stock market, globalisation and of course the new monarchy, the Banks, all belong to a caste so far out of touch with the rest of the world that they have no idea how their Weltanschauung is causing a rift in society, one result is the dismantling of the middle class, a bad move as that leaves only the rich and the poor, push hard enough and give the “the poor” a strong leader or a Führer and they will crash the system, add to that a threat from outside, perceived or real as for instance the Romans found out. In fact it would seem that all societies that reach a certain level will self-destruct in exactly the same way.
Would it not be the biggest joke in history if in a few hundred years or less the Imams in the madrases in the ruins of London or Paris or Berlin teach that Allah smote the godless christian infidels.
The barbarians are at the gates boys and girls.
