As far as I'm concerned you can be for, or against Trump, and you can phrase your argument well, or poorly, and you can support it (or not) with conventional or alternate media. I'm willing to respect your right to be alt-right, alt-left, alt-shift, or just alt.

But leave Mars bars alone. Have you no sense of human decency whatsoever?
Hahaha. I totally discriminate, booo Mars. Twix person, moi.

Which makes me think of political campaigns in the future, what is it going to be like..I bet even more simple than now. Freebies, free food. People will vote those who will give them something, anything, for free.

Mars party for some.

Err... they're students?

They'd protest if they changed the brand of toilet paper. And it's been like that since time immemorial. Not particularly dangerous.
So with you on that!

Just watched the interview with Milo in the BBC link, and the guy speaks very well and intelligently. Can't say I've watched him before, though his named is obviously familiar. Got to say, I largely agree with his views on modern feminism and globalisation....and that's where he could become challenging. You agree with one thing an engaging speaker says, then you investigate the rest.

Weak people second guess themselves based upon others' opinions. Strong people second guess themselves based on their own opinions and experiences.

I suspect "Nazi" protestors have a deep seated fear of acknowledging their own inner bigots. It could be the same kind of vehemence recovering drug addicts have against drug use. They have to psychologically radicalize to the opposite extreme, to try to avoid confronting their own inner bigot. The same extremism they claim to battle is quite evident in their own actions already.

Perhaps they really need a different process for change and transformation, one that starts with own selves.
But what do you do when they have no "inner bigot" for them they are the sane ones and others are the bigots. How do you get a person to change without them blocking the process whilst thinking you are the idiot? I don´t think that a person has to be radicalised, it seems to be our default setting, the checks and balances of society are the thin veneer over a very nasty base creature, only thing is that a person will see that it is aways the others who are nasty and vile.
Has anybody read or watched "Er ist wieder da?" Where Hitler wakes up in Berlin in 2013? Funny as heck but the point is.. He is in us all.

I personaly would be more afraid of disenfranchised white males with semiautomatic rifles and hatred of liberals! And there are loads of them in the US.
Feel free to enlighten me on this one. How many disenfranchised white males with semiautomatic rifles and hatred of liberals are currently running around the streets of the US dressed in vagina suits or blocking traffic, preventing ambulances with dying people from getting to hospitals, shooting police, rioting, overturning police cars, looting shops, marching through the streets with semiautomatic rifles chanting "what do we want now?..........more dead cops", setting fire to whole neighourhoods etc etc etc?

Never afraid, but back in the day we knew both extremes were a bunch of idiots. We recognised once side by their socks with Jesus sandals or desert wellies and the other side by the red and yellow laces in their Doc Martens.

The historical documentary series "The Professionals" is good at highlighting the differences

Re: All about the alt-right (in the wake of anti-Muslim shooting)

Steve Bannon seems to be popping up a lot in photos/footage of Trump recently, such as in a photo accompanying a BBC article the other day on the Supreme Court nomination, showing Trump on the phone in the Oval Office and Bannon lounging in a chair in front of the desk.

His Breitbart news site seems to be expanding into France and Germany. It's disturbing that someone with views like these should be so close to the US president. I think the Muslim ban has more to do with saying "we hear you" to racists than it has to do with protecting the country.

Steve Bannon Suggests There Are Too Many Asian CEOs In Silicon Valley
“When two-thirds or three-quarters of the CEOs in Silicon Valley are from South Asia or from Asia, I think...” Bannon said. “A country is more than an economy. We’re a civic society.” Bannon’s “facts” were, in fact, well off. A May 2015 study found that 27 percent of professionals working in Silicon Valley companies were Asian or Asian-American. They represented less than 19 percent of managers and under 14 percent of executives, according to the report.

Come on, Castro... Do you really feel that Trump is a stooge for anybody? In his entire history, have you ever seen him allowing himself to play 2nd fiddle to someone else?

Lol... I feel like a "virtue signaling SJW" the last few days as I stand up more for the office of the President of the US than the man himself!

"All told, there are three ways to manipulate the narcissist:

(1) To withhold narcissistic supply from him until he comes, hat in hand, begging for more and then you can name your price and dictate terms;

(2) To constitute yourself as a reliable source of high-grade supply and thereby foster in the narcissist dependence and adherence to your minutest needs and wishes;

(3) To take active part in buttressing and upholding the narcissist’s grandiose fantasies, to collude in a shared psychosis and thus render him amenable to your wishes and priorities as long as they seamlessly conform to his delusional narrative."

I think Bannon's using approach no. 3...

Well, it could be simply (4) Successful political advice that gets one elected.

Bannon's reading of the voters proved to be spot-on, hence his current role as Chief Strategist.

Castro may or may not, but I think Trump is not beyond influence. Bannon advises and puffs him up at the same time and Trump listens. Trump values loyalty, so he will surround himself with flatteres who also inform him. But then, in all honesty, I've not paid much attention to him before this debacle.

Here's what the alt-right have to say about White Nationalism.

And there were people rioting last night to stop this guy from talking.

Who should we be more concerned about again?

In the video you've linked, I agree with everything he says, but in others, such as the Milo vs Muslim one doing the rounds, I don't.

I'm in the UK at the moment, and tomorrow night I'm attending my friend's surprise 60th birthday party in Manchester's village, in one of the gay clubs. The birthday boy has been my friend and colleague for 12yrs. He's Jewish, speaks several languages fluently, and we've been each other's confidant through several relationships. The party has been arranged by his Muslim fiance. Both families will be in attendance and as a couple, they've been for holidays to stay with each other's extended families. The one and only time there's been a hitch, was last year at Tel Aviv immigration.

The first person to wish me Happy Christmas and again, Happy New year, was another of my gay Muslim friends and former colleague. He's always been very open about his sexuality, and the only time his Imam felt the need to 'draw the line' was when my friend wanted to buy a pet mini pig called Lola, and take her to the mosque wearing a black biker jacket with 'Jesus Saves' written in studs on the back.

Then there's a friend's son who converted to Islam, and to be quite honest, he comes out with some horrible crap. I've taken him to task several times over it and refused him entry into my home.

We all know there are deplorable things that go on in many Muslim countries, but this moral war won't be won by being the oppressor, the invader, the abuser or the antagonist who paints all Muslims with the same brush. We do it by saying this is who we are, this is what we stand for, and if you choose to live in our country, you will abide by the laws of our land, in the same manner as we would abide by yours if we lived in your country.
