Re: Prime ministerís letter will be hand-delivered to European council

If anybody is remotely curious you can get a PDF copy of the letter:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/h..._article50.pdf

Interestingly the text on pages 1, 4 and 6 is selectable, indicating the other pages are scanned.

A deeply depressing day, not much more to say really.
Apparently after Brexit we all get a free unicorn.

I think that's just because the OCR worked on some pages but not others.

So, is today (Nigel Farage's) Independence Day?
The day we got out country back?
Or is that in 2 years time?
I don't think Nigel, nor the rest of the UK will be getting anything back. You will just be paying more for the same: Great offer, buy two and pay for three.

We will see over the next five years if those deranged experts were right, and the newspapers were wrong. What a mess!

Re: Prime ministerís letter will be hand-delivered to European council

It was essentially a Tory pub brawl which eventually spilled into the street.

What worries me most is the hubris in the government camp, and how quickly conservative 'Remain' MPs have switched to the Brexit camp declaring it the most wonderful thing in the world. They of course bleat about 'Will of the People', but sorry, that's not an appropriate term for such a slim majority.

Anyway I've let my Labour membership lapse because they've been next to useless on BREXIT. The only leadership I see now is from Farron and the LibDems.

It all went downhill after the English moved the Eurostar arrival station from Waterloo. There's nothing like greeting visitors from France with a huge sign emblazoned with the name of one of the UK's most memorable defeats of France.
Did you see what the Sun did the the white cliffs of Dover ? That will really help setting the tone and the atmosphere for happy negotiations hey ...

Mind you, what negotiations? As said, Art 50 clearly says that the outgoing member will not be part in any of the decisions made after art 50 is triggered. That was always clear right from the start- the UK will get the deal they are given by the 27, if any.

I have rejoined Lib Dems - and urging them to form an alliance with the Greens.

Yes, but who gets the rainbow? Because that's where all the magic really is.

I might have to go over and help my parents shovel the gold coins out of their front garden.

come on guys, you know we're never leaving here again...

I am just still curious to know what my new passport colour will be after 2019 if not burgundy - if it all goes to the dogs would it be red?
