| | How will Trump Presidency End?
Yesterday Trump walked out in the middle of signing the executive orders (he signed them later), which make me wonder just how much more he will take. I think there is a possibility, a small possibility, that he may have a meltdown or resign in frustration over it all.

Why is everyone obsessed over Trump? As far as I can see he got elected on a platform which he is now turning into a reality. Which means the people who voted for him will do so again.
Nobody bothered when an idiot like Bush was in charge of nukes and couldn't even read a children's book. Whatever happens to him and the US it's democracy, so time to sop whining and move on.

I think he will do (or has done) something which is impeachable and that the process will start about half way through his first term. If he isn't impeached, then he won't run for reelection.

Technically, he's already running for re-election. He's registered and has been using 2020 campaign funds for some of his rallies.
As for whether his current supporters would vote for him again, it depends. If he makes good on his promises and it actually helps people, he could get re-elected (if not impeached beforehand ). If his promises turn out to be a disaster for working-class folks, not so much.
I think people are obsessing over Trump because he's so different and unpredictable. I think calling it whining, etc. is being shortsighted. Many of the critics expressing concern about Trump's actions so far are no different than the ones that thought the world would end with Obama. Just on the other side of the coin.

Imagine 3.5 years of Pence. Add to that the crowd of people chanting "It was a plot, he never had a chance" conspiracy theory type crap at the next elections.
If he is as bad as some think then leave the man enough rope, he will eventually hang himself.

Because if you do believe in him and what he stands for then you should have no problem defending him and setting out a factual based reason for supporting him.

Perhaps I should have written "Even if he isn't impeached he won't make it through the primaries".
Speaking strategically, if there is an attempt to impeach him then it has to be absolutely watertight. A thinly veiled witchhunt will just lend credibility.

That's why Nixon chose to resign in 1974 rather than try to fight impeachment like Clinton did. American politics has grown more partisan in the past four decades. I think we could find video feed of Trump accepting a check from Putin and then accepting services of Russian sex workers, and that still would not get most Republicans to impeach.
Liberals and Democrats who think Trump should/will be impeached are deluding themselves. For better or worse, his term will end 20 January 2021. That doesn't mean going along with him. The sooner people get over the fantasy of impeachment, the sooner they can fight to make sure his term doesn't end in 2025.

Impeached within 3 yrs.
I'll stick to the answer I gave before in another thread. Actually think that's the worst result for the American people though, so I don't want it to happen, but believe it's likely.
