There's nothing football likes more than a little self indulged bereavement. And you can bet that Liverpool would be at the front if the queue to lead it.
So I'll let my mum's neighbour know that the utter devastation she experienced at the loss of her husband and daughter at Hilllsborough was just "a little self-indulged bereavement" because she's from Liverpool, then?

Christ, I've read some insensitive shite on this forum in the past but that takes the biscuit.

In other news, the Berlin Wall has come down and the USSR has pulled out of Afghanistan.

Re: Borussia Dortmund: Bomb explosion near team bus

German prosecutors say they have no evidence so far linking a man held over the bomb attack against the Dortmund team bus to the crime.

German police seem to be making a thing of arresting the wrong guy.

German prosecutors have said a man arrested after a bomb attack on a bus carrying the Borussia Dortmund football team is a member of Islamic State but there is so far no evidence he was involved in the incident.

The man, a 26-year-old Iraqi identified only as Abdul Beset al-O, arrived in Germany last year via Turkey, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office.

The statement said the man was a member of the "foreign terrorist organisation" Isis in Iraq, where he led a commando unit of 10 members involved in kidnappings, smuggling, extortion and killings.

At least German police picked up an "ISIS-commando-turned-refugee" during the investigation. But if there is no evidence against him regarding the Bosrussia attack, then I guess they will turn him loose on the streets again?

So basically a Tory terrorist. I wonder how the Daily Mail (and our Krembots) will spin that.

The Tories are an equal opportunities party. We even open our membership to terrorists.

Re: Borussia Dortmund: Bomb explosion near team bus

He could at least have been a bit more creative with the options-part.

Like creating a shell-company somewhere in the Dutch Antilles and use that to trade the options.
And use a VPN.

He was extremely oblivious to how law-enforcement works these days.

Seems like the only thing he was really good at was making bombs.

Well, there's a job-market for that, too....

Not much of a one. He's going to spend the next few years getting to know Herr Sweet Pants in a slammer somewhere in Nordrhein-Westfalen.

On the other hand that's the best environment to get to know people who know somebody who knows somebody who is seeking to hire a bomb-maker when he gets out. He could maybe even provide "consultancy" services from within his state-sponored residence, for example in return for being protected from said Herr Sweet Pants..

"Always a Russian". Funny to hear that coming from you. There's a few other proper nouns you would object to in that context.

Not even that. Three bombs and the bus was less damaged than the 262 night bus from Stratford to Beckton at the end of its shift.

Re: Borussia Dortmund: Bomb explosion near team bus

One of the bombs was place too high up.
Its blast went over the bus.
(According to various news-outlets).

It's assumed that there would have been fatalities if that one had hit the bus with full force.
