who, me, an Israeli?

bwaahhaaaaaaa

can't stand (the majority of them) myself.

I knew an Israeli years back, a pacifist, who refused to join the Israeli military, so he left the country.

I use that story as a litmus test when meeting and brain-picking other Israelis. Usually in response they say that he's a traitor/coward/deserves to die. And that's why I can't stand the majority of them.
Oops my bad... I have huge respect for Israelis - a tougher , cleverer bunch of folks you couldn't hope to meet.

6 suspects - one still on the run...

Quote:
They said the identity of the 18-year-old Moroccan was known, but they have not released it.
At a later press briefing, they said the suspect had arrived in Finland in 2016 and had "been part of the asylum process".
Crista Granroth, from the National Bureau of Investigation, said: "It seems that the suspect chose women as his targets, because the men who were wounded were injured when they tried to help, or prevent the attacks."
She said six of the eight wounded people were women.

Yeah, 18-year old asylum seeker - that for sure won't help the EU's refugee "strategy"...

Sorry, being very cynical here, I know. But what else is there to say...

And yes I'm well aware most of the others were born in whatever country they decided to randomly kill a bunch of people. But it still won't help.

Re: Finnish stabbing attack - 2 dead 8 injured

And now in Russia.

"Seven people have been wounded in a knife attack in the Russian city of Surgut, security sources say.

The man, who apparently stabbed passers-by on the street at random, was shot dead by police.

The injured have been taken to hospital, where two are in a critical condition, the state-owned RIA Novosti news agency reports.

The Islamic State militant group (IS) said on its official news channel that it was behind the attack.

Russia's Investigations Committee said it had identified the attacker and was checking his psychological history.

The attacker was a local resident born in 1994, it said.

A spokeswoman for the committee told Reuters news agency she would not comment on the possibility of terrorist motives, calling the attack "attempted murder".

Silly me for using the Sun as my source.

The title says "Brit hero ‘who came to rescue of stabbed women and children’ among those injured in Turku terror rampage".
Then there is no information on said hero in the article, but a focus on someone called Hassan Zubier.
So silly me assumes Hassan is the Brit hero. It would have been a perfectly reasonable assumption had the thing been written by a competent journalist.

He's a Sweden-based paramedic who was born in Kent.

They're giving an unfiltered and instant answer, without taking the time to ponder and nuance and you're punishing them for that. You would be surprised how bigoted so many people are if they let off steam, not towards "our friends" of course, towards "them, the others"...
Perhaps they didn't learn yet how to efficiently talk in PC language, like many others "open minded" folks.
