Another tube train bomb in London

... looks a bit low budget to me, but still got a few people sent to hospital: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-41278545

Re: Another tube train bomb in London

Parsons Green, that was my nearest Tube station... and 08:20 BST... pretty much just as I would have been setting off for work...

That's the point of terrorism, making people fearful as they go about their everyday activities. "That could have been me... what if I'm next?"

The bucket looks huge; maybe it was intended to be a much bigger blast.

doesn't look like a completed bomb to me, maybe a misfire on its way to be assembled more? no screws, nails etc in the mix

If these guys ever pass a chemistry GCSE then london will be screwed

I was on the tube behind the one that was attacked at Aldgate, the next couple of days I drove to work only because I had to. Otherwise it would have been the tube again. What a day that was, I had to walk from Whitechapel to the office via Liverpool Street where more stuff happened.Incidentally for the three days before the London bombings I was presenting a training course in Luton and returned home from the same train station that was used the following morning. Fool me once and all that.

Best wishes to all in London and around the world.

I have the impression that often the knowledge is low, and perhaps a youtube video is used.. The cell from the last attack in Paris managed weeks upfront to blow up their own house while manufacturing explosives.

It looks like most of the injuries were caused in the panic after the explosion.
I hope everyone involved soon recovers.

I don´t know why they even bother with explosives, with everybody so jumpy and on edge all you need to do is shout BOMB! in a crowd and as sure as an amen in church somebody will get hurt in the resulting stampede, do that a few times and the psychological effect is as good as a real boomy-type bomb.

Looks like a 15lt paint tub wrapped in a Lidl frozen food carrier bag. I wouldn't look twice at that.

Certainly the chavviest bomb of the year so far. They could at least have used a Waitrose bag. I bet the fairy lights were from PoundStretcher too.

A sloppily slung-together bomblet on a London Tube train equals Islamic terror, and has everything to do with the USA and its former president.

I really don't get how your brain works.

‘London is lost’, claims alt-right snowflake doing literally everything ISIS want from him

Quote:
An ISIS spokesperson spoke of his pleasure at Williams’ video efforts, telling us, “Having Londoners turn on the Muslim community is quite literally what we want you all to do.

“The odd bomb or car driving into the public isn’t going to defeat a city of nine million people – we know that, we’re not idiots. We do it so the frightened little boys among you will do our recruiting for us.

“So please, continue getting angry at all the immigrants, the Muslim communities, and blame them for our actions, because right now that’s the only way we get the holy war we desperately crave.

“We’ve tried recruiting Muslims ourselves, but it turns out the vast majority of them actually quite like life in the west, and much prefer it to our medieval interpretation of the Koran.

“So our only hope now is by triggering racist simpletons into attacking Muslims for us. On that point, you should all be following Katie Hopkins; she talks an awful lot of sense.”

especially given it doesn't follow the recent pattern of bombs, no nails etc, not suicide, and in a plastic container of all things, almost like they weren't trying to kill

Aaah, now I get how your brain works -- just like Mr Obama's successor. But then again, I don't get how his brain works.

So apparently Trump knows 1) that this was a terrorist attack and 2) that Scotland Yard knows who did it. Perhaps he could be so kind as to tell us everything else he knows about this incident?

I was living in London when the IRA were having fun and this is what they did quite a lot. They would plant the occasional device but then a lot of the time they'd just pick up the phone and call a threat in and sit back and watch the fun.

yep, they 'blew up' a bank 2 door down from where we were on a night out, first we knew of it was loads of police evacuating us, had to walk past the blast site - a slight black mark up the door.

Re: Another tube train bomb in London

For some reason, @realDonaldTrump decided to reply to @realDonaldTrump's tweet on the Tube bomblet with a plug for his travel ban-that's-not-a-ban... with amusing consequences in the Twittersphere. He really is excellent at shooting himself in the foot. He should consider a gun ban just to save his feet.

1500 Wounded in Turin., just to show the effect of masshysteria for no reason at all. People already are scared, there's plenty of examples where a stampede beings with no other trigger then fear.
