Re: Hurricane Ophelia

New windstorm heading for Ireland and UK on Friday and Saturday
At this time most models suggest top wind gusts in the 120-130 km/h range, more on higher ground and exposed locations. The strongest winds are likely across southern and western Ireland and Wales plus up to 3in. rain!

Re: Hurricane Ophelia

It has been upgraded to Level 2, orange warning and got itself a name: Storm Brian.

Bad luck to have one so soon after Ophelia. Lots of rain this time and saturated ground will result in damage especially if trees and structures have previously been weakened at the beginning of the week by Ophelia.

We are to get hit with it on Saturday here in Hampshire, but no doubt Southern Ireland will bear the brunt of it.

'Tis horribly mild and damp here, atm.. yuck!
