Re: WW3 Again? Heck this is getting boring.

The washington times is a respected newspaper, not a tabloid . btw, any links to the "GPS naval mine" you mentioned earlier ?

The article included a video of Iranian soldiers removing a limpet mine. investigation by the UAE for the previous similar attack (limpet mines exploding outside it's harbour) also pointed the finger at a state actor.

Iran's motives:
1. raise the price of oil.
2. call Trump's bluff.
3. show it's long suffering subjects that it has military power and can block naval traffic.

Many claimed Russia also didn't have a motive to use poison in the UK, yet it did it.

Yeah, well, that’s just like, you know, your opinion, man.

Regarding the mine. Considering the absolut triviality of adding a GPS based trigger to a limpet mine and your clear lack of very simple basic technical knowledge (otherwise it would be rather obvious how to do it) I end this discussion.

PS: As for the future, do not expect that I will bowl on Saturdays. But you won't know and understand.

One must bow to your superior technical knowledge. so superior no country on earth managed to emulate.

The dude abides.

There is plenty of evidence to the contrary

Conspiracies "Thoeries" are usually false. used by dictrartors, beleived by fools.
If this is evidence , then all the evidence from gaza and west bank is enough to wipe israel of the map

The Guardian, a well known Trump mouthpiece, quotes experts who say the the evidence & methods point to Iran.

Sooner, rater then later, the perpetrators will be found out. Let's assume it's Iran - what would you suggest should happen then ?
For some reasons the Middle East countries are not so easily managed now as it used to be. But I'll give you a few examples to contemplate the war option:

Iraq dictator overthrown. Result: Shia majority gains power, sides with Iran.
Syria: sides with Iran.

These two developments dealt near-deadly blows to Iraq and Syria but also set their alliances with Iran in a very uncomfortable way for the future.
Iran is way larger. Others might want to extract concessions from US in other areas of the globe (Russia in Easter Europe? China and ...?) for staying away.

The middle east is seperating into tribal regions like they were before the Sykes-Picot deal drew the borders without a thought to existing structures. It could just be that the mid east will be peacefull again when things are back the way they where a hundred and odd years ago.

Where did I suggest a war ?
My question was: what should be done ?

The U.S is suggesting commercial traffic (tanker) convoys escorted by foreign navies. perhaps a good idea - let the oil customers pay for the protection of their trade, and not piggyback on U.S military.

But it was the US actions against Iran that caused the problem so the US should man up and pay the bill.

Nice one, the Iranians have just blown a Triton drone out of the sky.
I think it´s time to get the popcorn and hope for a good show.

It was the Americans who caused the problem right in the beginning by backing the Shah after the British/Soviet invasion of Iran disposed of his dad.
Looking at the history of the area in last 100 years, it really is a no-brainer as to why the Iranians do not trust the "Western" powers.

Re: WW3 Again? Heck this is getting boring.

On one hand I don't want Iranians suffering. On the other hand the last thing I would like to see is a ME contry with nukes and missiles.
However, I think without nukes the Iran is condemned to be similarly destroyed as Iraq and Syria so that Israel can feel safer.
But then the longterm question is if Iran is safe given that countries that were not openly hostile to Israel were destroyed - Iraq and Syria; so would it be a targeted by Israel, Saudis and US anyway sooner or later and it has no choice but to build up its regional influence to counter that?

If the Iranians don’t already have a couple of dozen nukes, they could get a small handful with just a short phone call to Karachi.
