In the UK especially, the whole drama is a useful smoke-and-mirrors tactic to distract from the government. | | | | | I‘m also on another forum where the thread on H&M was closed due to emotional outbursts by certain posters. To me, they‘ve become a topic much like Trump was in the States: divisive-driven.

The tabloids were churning out pages and pages of print scrutinising her every move, every piece of jewellery and every facial expression. Endless columnists questioning her motives, then when she went public with Dodi Fayed it just exploded - the "crazy, unstable self-obsessed" woman who tried to bring down the monarchy, abandoned the heir to the throne and her kids.
When she was killed, that same press did a total about-turn and elevated her to pseudo sainthood. Tabloid campaigns for a state funeral and the like.

I just wish H and M would go away and shut up now, they're ridiculous. Everything they do is about money, then again poor guy had to use his inheritance from Diana to support his wife (although some insiders have said the Montecito pile is owned by a conglomerate including Netflix, the Mountbatten Windsors merely live in the guest house and the main one is used for PR purposes). Be interesting to see what happens when Meghan eventually bins him off though | The following 2 users would like to thank Cherub for this useful post: | |

They've trotted out a few token celebs lamenting how shocking it all is and should all now die down but media wheel is now grinding out story after story.
I had quite a lot of sympathy for them in the aftermath of their departure to the US but it just needed them to tell their side of the story and leave it at that. I feel that in years to come they will deeply regret how it snowballed.

“‘You mean that you attacked me?’
“‘I didn’t attack you, Harold.’”
Harry says he didn’t immediately tell his wife – but did call his therapist."

Lilibet was the name used by Philip for the Queen and apparently Charles calls Camilla "Gladys".

How can you establish a relationship with someone who uses every incident as an anecdote for a future book, interview or documentary ?

Looking forward to King Willy!

Oh, do grow up Harry. You are acting like a spoiled brat. I too was bullied by my elder brother, decades ago, and I survived.

Is this going to take a turn down legal street now? Did the future king assault his brother or has Harold just libelled William?
