I think they were naive to think they could just hop in and out as they pleased, yet trade on the royalty part.

I am really wondering about them as a couple. Meghan (or MeGain as the Brits call her) had zero clue when she married Harry and thought she could project her "vision" onto the monarchy. Think again Meghan - It is an institution and beyond your control. That said, she has Harry under her thumb as well as Archie - which does give her some leverage. Troubling times for the monarchy given Andrew, divorces etc...
I personally feel very sorry for the Queen |

It always strikes me as peculiar when people go after her and never wonder about him. Top and bottom is that it's none of my business, but I do wonder if he's been planning this for years, long before he even met his wife. What if it was part of 'the deal' that she take the flak for a while whilst he plotted his life change... I wish them both all the luck, love and happiness that I would wish to any couple who have done me no harm.

Say what you like about the British royals but I can't help but feel sorry for Harry at the moment. The DM has published VERY in-depth details of the prank call where he revealed far more than he should have about his life and thoughts https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Thunberg.html
This should never have happened and it shows that Harry is vulnerable, impressionable, gullible and having mental health problems and I fear this will help to tip him over the edge into some form of deeper anxiety or depression.

I thought his replies in the article were quite sensible.

It doesn't read badly for an off the cuff phonecall. I can understand that the royals are meant to see infallible but this phonecall appears to be blown out of proportion.

My first thought was that it was all fake but, that being the case, you would have thought that a statement would have been issued by now that it wasn't Harry.
My second thought was how did the pranksters get the phone number. Some worrying security breaches there. The Daily Mail is a disgusting excuse for a newspaper but then so are all the UK tabloids. Aren't there laws about recording conversations without consent and publishing details?

It's clear that his split from the palace will significantly reduce his security levels and when combined with his current vulnerability this is extremely worrying. This is a huge embarrassment for him and the things he said about politicians will not be forgotten and will harm his and Meghan's reputation as well as affect the rest of the royal family. He is likely going to pretty emotionally devastated by this humiliation. | Quote: | | | | | The Daily Mail is a disgusting excuse for a newspaper but then so are all the UK tabloids. Considering that the Russian pranksters recorded the calls and published them I am not sure what can be done.

Seems a bit peculiar he would have such in depth discussions with a 17 year old girl like that to begin with.
He does seem a few chips short of a happy meal

Reviving because of the interview.
Take aways from the interview with Oprah:
- the firm is bad
- don't ever mention a child's possible skin colour
- Meghan was suicidal
- Harry's a decent guy
- Charles can be a dick
- The queen is lovely
- Harry and Meghan aren't that rich (apart from the 30 million dollars he received from his mother)
- Charles, William and Kate are trapped
- The firm spreads lies or doesn't counteract them.
Did I miss anything?

Lots of people screaming that the Royal family’s treatment of Meghan is racist, whilst also screaming that she was treated exactly the same as her white mother in law Diana | The following 4 users would like to thank Island Monkey for this useful post: | |
