More than 80% of white evangelical and born-again Christians voted for Mr. Trump, according to exit polls

Looks quite black to me.
So more than 80% of white evangelical Christians are Republicans. Bow wow. Or just hated to see another Clinton in the White House. The feminist Clinton who stood by her infidel husband and let him play all that grotesque show.."I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky". Bow wow!

True. To be honest, there are so many churches out there that I'm quite confused sometimes.

I do not think both Clintons represented the same thing for voters or anti-voters. She stood by him because her family reputation and decent life was at a stake, I think. Maybe for her future political goals, who knows.

Imho, to look at voters via their race is not the best way to understand their priorities. Inspecting the values Republicans promote and what keeps them popular is probably more accurate? You will actually identify a lot of Peterson in it.

So all feminists (I wouldn't call her that but for argument's sake let's say she is) must unconditionally dump their OH once they find out he cheated on them?

What I've seen from Peterson (not an awful lot, but still) is neither left or right. I'd call it outright apolitical.

You appear to claim that precise wording and concise reasoning is typical for the GOP or conservatives, in which case I'd point you to DT.

Peterson is a good shrink, they are apolitical. He promotes some very traditional values, though, that people seem to associate with some of the political programs. The way these values are politically marketed has nothing to do with him, though. It is like saying he promotes faith, therefore he must be religious, therefore Rep...or even alt-right. The way people admit to agree with him has no political importance, nor effect in the way he keeps working, seems to me.

Chucking him to the alt-right camp annoys but the strategy itself nor where it comes from does not surprise me.

Both sides play that game. Call something socialist and you don't need to provide any proof. Same for a good many similar categorisations.

Mais oui, of course? Stereotyping is an innate quality of a human mind.

Not that I find it in any way helpful in argumentation. "Sides" never interested me nor those who want to represent them. Peterson probably doesn't care, either.

Oh no, I couldn't call her a feminist either, it's just her posing like she were one to cover all the bases....(don't need her sympathy thank you very much)
But you didn't pay attention. Marton was talking about Trump's divorces and lack of morality forgetting the Clintons are pretty creepy themselves, if you ask me. Seriously, Trump won first of all because the Democrats couldn't come up with a credible candidate. (among many other things, but let's stay on this topic since this is what Marton proposed)

I was posted that the Christian Evangelicals are abandoning their principles when they vote for someone who is twice divorced and boasts about pussy grabbing.

Whereas if we look at Hillary through this narrow Christian Evangelicals lens then she scores OK. She did not divorce Bill despite high provocation and she kept the family together.

Do not interpret this as meaning I supported or endorsed Hillary; I am sure there are many credible reasons that people did not vote for her.

The Democrats suffer from their lack of both inspiring candidates and beguiling policies.

This whole American drive to sully a president's reputation by talking about sex and other private scandals rather than his politics is inappropriate in my view. It was inapproprtiate in Bill Clinton's day and it is inappropriate today for Trump.

In terms of her personal life, I guess Evengelicals would have approved that. But her policies made her wholly unelectable.

Sadly that is a problem afflicting both sides. That's what made it so easy for Trump.

Totally inappropriate. It's happening because there is public interest. I don't think it would fly in Europe, people couldn't care less. They don't care who Macron or Merkel hangs out with.

While it is inappropriate, it is not up to us to morally lecture to American voters. It is up to them to tone down the misplaced passion or at least identify it. But in a land of prudes and prohibitions, good luck.

David Mellor and his Chelsea kit
"She hired the services of publicist Max Clifford, and The Sun paid her £35,000 for her kiss-and-tell story. De Sancha (pictured below) later admitted that many of the details printed in the tabloid weren’t true – including the now infamous stories that Mellor made love in a Chelsea strip and enjoyed spanking and toe-sucking."
http://home.bt.com/news/on-this-day/...11364006648903

"tawdry details of their affair, including claims of hanky-panky in a Chelsea FC shirt — later revealed to have been fabricated by de Sancha’s PR man, the notorious Max Clifford — titillated the public for months"
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...us-affair.html

Judging from other links online, Mellor was over the moon when Clifford was convicted.

Why not? The Americans lecture anyone whom they see fit for a lecture....I think we're equally "entitled", I'm all for serving their own medicine to people, in principle.

I think they just keep up with the times, marton...:-) Divorces, "pussy grabbing" - all so common and...."natural" these days.
But I think it's more than that. Maybe people are fed up with this dynastic democracy. And with many policies. The Democrats have forced some things onto population and this is not how things function in real life. Truth, meritocracy - these are principles that should not be flexible or negotiable. Maybe it was a lesson that an angry and deceived electorate should give all politicians from time to time....a wake up call if you wish.
