Its an article about an explosion that happened 30 min ago! News as it happens so to speak. Thus no info available in English yet.

Your link is about another case that happened 4 days ago.

I attach the links even though they are in Swedish to validate the authenticity of the statements I make. I dont want to be accused of spreading unsubstantiated information :-)

So this is the third bomb attack to the same police-station within about a month! Correct?
That is bad and I understand if it feels like war to those who live and work there.
But shouldn't one think that latest after the second attack the control and surveillance around that police-station and area would be air-tight?

And let's put all the statistics aside for a moment. It really doesn't matter what nationality the attackers have. The police simply must do their job, catch them and they need to be prosecuted.
The executive authority in Sweden is not doing it's job. It is either badly educated, trained or equipped - or all three.

As long as they don't arrest the culprits, they don't know their nationality either.
What a surprise it would be if it were right-wing Swedes

However, there seems to be all this speculating about the reasons instead of tackling the problem. The reasons can be worked out by the judges and the lawyers.

It is closely to the police station but the explosion was on the outside of an office building.

Re: What's Happening to Sweden?

If you go back to my statement this morning you can see that in priciple we agree. I have made no statement what so ever with regards to nationality.

It is a political problem. Nothing more, nothing less and you are absolutely right in saying that the executive authority isnt doing their job.

What you state as the logical response by the police force isn't happening and hasn't been happening for a long time. Thus the substantial drop in trust from the general population in the police force and prosecution.

The culprits can be Swedes or they can be foreign born. However the Swedish population will never know because this information is never collected nor disclosed.

I fear Sweden and Switzerland are once again being put in the same pot.

The only time Switzerland make the media outside Switzerland is when it's bad news. It's schadenfreude. Likewise now with the blonde socialism that is Sweden...

Not true. This one made it 'round the world

And I have not seen anything like it from any politician world-wide.

Okay, back on topic .....

Edit: seems the explosion tore down parts of the facade of a building housing parts of city hall and social services :-( And apparently 100 m away fro the police station that was the target 4 days ago. Also it seems they fear there are undetonated objects in the vicinity. It makes me truly sad to see my comments from this morning being substantiated in this manner.
Not so hard, here.

Re: What's Happening to Sweden?

Well, it must be pretty bad when an immigrant complains about other immigrants who immigrated to the country. (No, I'm not a Fox fan I just happened to come across this video. The part about Sweden starts around 1:09.

To be honest,to a degree I feel sorry for these migrants/immigrants/refugees. They are basically moved around like cattle forced from their homeland due mainly to the west who claims that they will "give them a better life" once they leave their war torn countries. The invasion of Iraq started the chaos then the wars in Libya and Syria sealed it. Sure, the people were fighting each other, the Shiite and the Sunnis for example, but they were fighting over there. Can you imagine their state-of-mind after losing everything? The reason for the exodus and the "open door policy" in the west is EXTREMELY complex. Studies reveal that Europeans aren't "reproducing enough" and the coffers for social security will be empty unless they get some "new workers" on the continent. To put it bluntly, European (whites) are not having enough children to keep the pension ponzi scheme going. This is not meant to be racist...it's just the way it is. And before you go off on tantrum..do your homework and look it up. Never mind the child/human trafficking, jihadist, weapons, drugs coming across the border. Sure, there are those who are truly in despair, but why should they praise European culture and become their new slaves in order to maintain their economic system.

Europe is ageing. The strains on pension and healthcare systems could also increase substantially, as Europeans live longer than ever before. Young Europeans will have to work harder, and be more efficient and productive in order to pay for the healthcare and pensions of a growing cohort of older Europeans (and, in turn, older Europeans may have to put off retirement, working into their 70s). Just days after the Bundestag voted to speed up deportation and mandatory finger printing, it's emerged they have outlined the country needs 300,000 people a YEAR for the next 40 years to stop population decline.

One individual commented: “so Europe definitely will not need tens of millions of immigrants – those who put forward this idea are not thinking clearly – I’ve read about immigrants integrating – that is somewhat naive and maybe even racist – why should immigrants abandon their own cultural values just because Europeans seem so happy to? So, the migrants will learn the error of their ways and suddenly realize the social superiority of European values – I don’t think so – if tens of millions of migrants are brought in, there is far more chance of major social disruption in the jobless future and my guess is that they are not going to be the least bit interested in paying for the pensions of old white people.”….Yep, that’s it folks “white genocide (that's what many are calling the invasion) in a nutshell and many western leaders are more than happy to let it happen.” (I won't even start with the USA here) Anna Carlstedt – Sweden’s Coordinator against Violent Extremism – suggested last December- that violent extremism in Sweden was a result of right-wing white power movement clashing with Islamic extremists…. If any white person thinks that their young children, grand children, or great grandchildren will grow up with the freedoms that they were used to, then you’re dreaming. Strangely, those advocating for the destruction of European culture are well, childless.

Here is the list:

Germany’s Angela Merkel
France’s Emmanuel Macron
Britain’s Theresa May
Italy’s Paolo Gentilon
Holland’s Mark Rutte
Scotland’s Nicola Sturgeon
Sweden’s Stefan Lofven
Luxembourg’s Xavier Bettel
Switzerland’s Simonetta Sommaruga
Ireland’s Leo Varadkar
Raheem Kassam, a British political activist said that "Europe’s childless leaders have no “vested interest in the future of the West.”

Here is a female German politician speaking here:

A ‘sex guidebook‘ was issued kindly asking migrants not to rape the locals, and Anna Carlstedt – Sweden’s Coordinator against Violent Extremism – suggested last December that violent extremism in Sweden was a result of right-wing white power movement clashing with Islamic extremists.

I think most would agree that controlled immigration is fine. However, a big part, not all, but a big part of the immigration into countries today like Sweden, is strictly political and financial and not solely based on altruistic motives. People are not like water that can take any shape of the vessel you pour it into. Many of the refugees coming in mass to Europe today, over 70% are men of fighting age according to a Pew research (you can look it up) are mad, depressed, and don’t give a f#%k! After their homelands have been destroyed by ceaseless wars from the west, mainly USA along with their partners-in-crime, their homes destroyed, families killed...the future doesn't look too good for the west. Just put yourself in their shoes!...You can’t import a culture in mass that is completely alien to your own and expect utopia. It’s not the people immigrating...IMHO...it’s the culture of the people. Luxembourg and Switzerland have managed to escape much of the wrath...so far. Whether people want to call Switzerland xenophobic or not, it's been their saving grace. If you are in Switzerland you follow the rules of Switzerland...just like the Muslim boy who refused to shake a female teacher's hand. Switzerland took care of the situation quickly and let them know that in Switzerland people of the opposite sex shake hands. When parallel societies are created is when the real trouble starts. Some may call Switzerland old-fashioned, but that's also part of its strength. It's much like an old person set in their ways. They've survived with plenty of stories to tell. Not perfect by far, but they've lived long enough to know what works. IMHO...Sweden has lost the plot altogether and the perfect example of the conflicts to come if nothing is done about the stupid actions of current western leaders Europe will be no more.

Ask a Swede living in the center of Stockholm and he will say the problems ain't that big, Ask a Swede living in or near the suburbs and he will say that the government lost control. It often is just a matter of perspective.
I think another problem is that the authorities in Sweden do not really care about crimes in the suburb.
Imagine if the same crimes happened in the center of Stockholm, surely they would do something about it.

And if you think it´s bad now, wait until the second and third generation appear, just need to look at Germanys hard core third and fourth generation Turkish immigrants.
It's funny though, Germany has the biggest share of refugees despite of what you seem to imply here. They're also the ones who complain the least. When it comes to the refugee issues, the most vocal people are also the ones who had little or nothing to do with any refugee, personally.

Which is why a far right wing populist party has come out of nowhere and is now the third largest political party in Germany.

My bet is it didn't come out of nowhere, it came out of people who, like here, focused their whole efforts around hating others and started giving lectures on how other cultures function and how they click....and the further away from them, the funnier and catchier their rhetorics. Now we all have the internet which makes us experts in everything and nothing, we can share and spread around our strong opinions, roll over percentages and numbers, draw conclusions, establish who is worth living and who is not, how to fix the Afghan problem, the Jewish problem, those people, all those people. I guess there's always a need for the likes of Göring, at any given time.
We need them, if only for a bit of entertainment. They don't scare anyone these days.

You can argue the whys and wherefores, but the fact remains many Germans are deeply unhappy with the current situation and are complaining.

You do not want to import immigrants but you have no other valid solution?

Quote:
Young Europeans will have to work harder, and be more efficient and productive in order to pay for the healthcare and pensions of a growing cohort of older Europeans
Where did you get this solution? Totally naive!

There ain't enough young people! There ain't enough young people!

If you believe immigrants will not least bit interested in paying for the pensions of old white people” then why do you believe young Europeans will be interested in working night and day just to give most of their income in taxes? Talk about fomenting future social disruption

You talk about the jobless future which is simply alarmist and not based on facts. The whole point of bringing in immigrants is to have them working and paying taxes. Every European country has immigration processes which ensure immigrants are acceptable and get jobs. Did you know 9,000 US doctors are Iranian, 3,500 from Syria?

You did not want to mention the US but look here
Name: usdoctors.jpg
Views: 163
Size: 37.0 KB

Finally from your last paragraph you also seem to assume that all future immigrants will be refugees which is again simply alarmist.
Quote:
You can’t import a culture in mass
But this is xenophobia, it is not one culture. Try telling an Iranian he has the same culture as an Iraqi or South African or Israeli!

Now now, Marton. Next thing you'll be asking people is to treat the "others" as individuals and not as groups! The cheek of it...

Situation in Sweden gets the attention of The Sunday Times today:

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/w...eden-q83g055k9

It's a restricted article unfortunately but the extracts I've read indicates they don't paint a pretty picture of Sweden. My feeling is they are pretty spot on in their reporting.
You can sign in for free to read the full article.
Yes, I also think it was well written, and tried not to be too biased. The violence is not everywhere in the country, but mainly in pockets of suburban areas where migrants are concentrated.

Quote:
Rinkeby, a 20-minute metro ride from Stockholm’s old centre, is one of Sweden’s most crime-ridden areas. Paramedics and firefighters demand a police escort to go there. After nightfall, gangs of young men dominate the streets, offering drugs at the entrance to the station. A 25-year-old man was shot dead in a pizzeria this month.

When I visited Rinkeby last week a group of youths in shell suits aggressively asked why I was in their neighbourhood. Born and raised in Rinkeby, they declared themselves not Swedish but Somali, Afghan or Lebanese.

Norway’s immigration minister, Sylvi Listhaug, visited Rinkeby last year to “learn” from the mistakes of “uncontrolled migration and poor integration”.

Stockholm’s mayor, Karin Wanngard, protested that Rinkeby was a “fine neighbourhood” and “teeming with vitality”.

A spate of shootings forced her to change her tune. The “growing brutality” among gangs has become “unprecedented” she said earlier this month.

Politics neglects the needs of the populace because they get away with it as long as nobody is looking. The moment people start paying attention, it's too late and the wreckers are long gone to a cushy job elsewhere. Do we get the politicians we deserve? We seem to vote that way, then complain.

Seems it takes catastrophe for anything to change. Heads on pikes are due for a Hipster revival. That would be interesting at Paradeplatz. (joke)
