It won't be long before the UK retaliate with a strongly worded letter.

Re: Poisoning of two Russians and a police officer in Salisbury, UK

Interesting to see that Brexit campaigner Arron Banks, whose wife is Russian and whose ability to be so generous to the Brexit cause has been questioned, is taking a pro-Russian stance.

"In crime you look for a motive , it’s almost enough to make you think the Russian’s are being set up?"
https://twitter.com/Arron_banks/stat...98892738863104

"He’s got a point
Albert Trigg
Who benefits from the Skripal incident and anti Russia propaganda? Russia? × A Tory party behind in the polls? ✓ Underfunded UK Military & intelligence? ✓ US Neo-Con's? ✓ A corporate Tory media? ✓ Arms corporations? ✓ Bought & paid for Blairite MPs? ✓"

His death is said to be unexplained. Wonder if they'll find the cause.

It looks as if many in Salisbury may be at risk and that there may not be much hope for Skripal and his daughter.

Novichok inventor says hundreds could be at risk for years

"A Russian chemical weapons scientist has told Sky News that people exposed to even tiny traces of the nerve agent used to attack a spy and his daughter in Salisbury could be in danger of developing symptoms in years to come. ...

He said it would leave those exposed to significant doses, like Mr Skripal and his daughter, as "invalids" who would need medical assistance for the rest of their lives."

Apparently as a protest England will leave the World Cup after the group stages.

Re: Poisoning of two Russians and a police officer in Salisbury, UK

After May's accusations and talk of retaliatory measures, it seems Putin has made some quite stark threats along the lines of "Don't threaten a nuclear power" .

Do you think he can act so bold because he knows his orange lap-dog won't do anything?

There is an election in Russia and that sort of thing is very popular with the Russian equivalent of the Brexit or Trump voters... "Make Russia great again"...

He also knows that May is not exactly in a position to do a lot either.

Re: Poisoning of two Russians and a police officer in Salisbury, UK

Two things puzzle me:

It's too darn obvious that the killings are done by the Russians. So they might noth be.

Treason must be a crime in GB. So why do people asking for asylum due to treason in their home-countries receive asylum in GB?

They are double agents. They spied for the UK... treason for one side is a hero for the other in this game.

Saying it's too obvious is assuming that Russia wouldn't want to be recognised as being responsible.

Well, anyone can say "it might not be", but then again, the earth may be flat too... It's pretty obvious that this attempted killing is a political statement from Putin rather than a settling of scores, and the he is the person to mostly gain from this. After all, they've just shown the world they can beat the North Koreeans at targeted killing on foreign soil... Except that this time they managed to poison a UK police officer as well.

Because they collaborated to the benefit of GB?

Interesting reactions and exactly to my point

I'm not at all against suspecting Russia. I'm against this up-to-date attitude of "guilty before proven".
Plus, I would really like to know the truth (totally outdated attitude to life, I know )

I guess it could but it would have been rather risky - she could have discovered it early, it could have been discovered at the airport or it could have been accidentally released early, etc.

Without knowing more of the actual substance speculations will flourish - that's the one thing you can be sure of... the propaganda machine will make sure of that

I totally agree. I hope there is an investigation at least as detailed and conclusive as in the Litvinienko case. I actually have a good level of confidence that the UK investigators will do that

LOL you mean the public enquiry mrs may herself held up? or the 14 (is it) other strange deaths in the uk linked to russia that where not investigated / rushed. My favorite is the spy who padlocked himself inside a duffel bag, in the bath with the heating turned full up, who was left for 10 days to rot, nothing strange in that one.

If it had been released in an enclosed space (such as an aircraft cabin), the result could have been the deaths of hundreds.

I'd hate to think of the repercussions in that scenario.
