It's bitter sweet to chuckle at something that made my people suffer for so long. And the consequences have been grave and still there, and to stay for generations.
You have to put history behind you and laugh where possible. But yes, sadly in many E.European countries, the history is still all too alive

come on, what's wrong with Karl Marx wearing a tiara and tutu singing "Die Partei hat immer Recht" while riding a monocycle?

Everything is subject to humour, and the videos recently posted are of the form 'black humour', which is beloved of many. There's even a trope about when you can make fun of a tragic event. And it's still going on; I find Trump deeply scary, but also hilarious (as does Colbert, Bee, et al).
Indeed.

Btw, you don't have to explain what black humor is to a Czech. Hang out with one and you'll see. Can't guarantee you any pcness, though. It is an antidote to humor, anyways.

Blaming the whole gender discussion on Marx is bizarre and can only be blamed on the rather irrational fear of Americans of everything socialist. Like health insurance...

The focus on "diversity" and "equality" are not for equality of opportunity. We already more or less already have that. The neo-Marxists in charge of "diversity programs" are focused on equality of outcome. Meaning they want an equal distribution of genders/races/etc. in all areas, and having "everyone the same" is a very much Marxist/Communist idea. (And having quotas of certain races/genders is actually racist/sexist in itself, altho they claim to be against racism/sexism, but that's another topic.)
