My kids are Canadians as well as Americans (and Swiss, too).

It might be easier if you just mentioned which nationality they don't hold.

Families like us are proud of how many nationalities we can gather within one name and a small family. Don't expect you to understand that but we will not shut up about it, we love the feel of being borderless.

First thing I learnt in Switzerland: "You got more than one nationality? Eeeek, you're weird".
Told the other kids, my father was the king of Ecuador. Took them years to find out Ecuador was not a kongdom.

My cousin picked up Irish a decade ago, and my kids could probably pick up Norwegian.

My wife's kids could probably add Vietnamese, her grandson Italian, and her granddaughter Romanian.

Can you imagine? Feck EU and Schengen and Trump!
They should all go for it. For all of it. And if it's only to prove what BS this nationalism is.

Well, it's unfortunate that Vaude has this shortcut

I'm from Basel-Stadt, we don't confuse bullshit with our town. Except maybe at "Fastnacht". Although then it's more about taking the piss.

Wanna go back to Canada and the twitter war?

KSA is playing real Politik. Because it's a pro western country they probably won't jail Canadians on trumped up charges like Iran did and does.

The arrested activist is also a political opponent of the regime.

KSA is going through a dramatic change and doesn't want to lose face at home.

Still, peaceful opposition is a must for a successful society and I hope a solution will be found soon.
Dramatic change? lol.

The pace of change in KSA is glacial, and will continue to be so. Yes women can drive, but it was pretty clearly done so that the subsequent crackdown on dissent would be swept under the rug to appease the crown prince, and to distract from the Abortion that is Yemen right now.

Nothing has changed, and certainly not anything in the realm of equal rights and freedoms. They'll imprison anyone they consider not worth bargaining, and while that might not include Canadians, it still doesn't make it alright.

That you think genuine peaceful opposition will be tolerated there as an alternative to the current absolute monarchy suggests you are somewhat divorced from the reality on the ground. The Saudis government does not want genuine opposition, it wants no opposition at all.

Last time I was there, they were talking about Women joining the work force. Was totally impractical considering they had to install another set of washrooms at each location! Never considered that one :P
