She also made a vegan salad (rocket and tomato)!
In short, I've started to delegate in my old age (plus, she's studying to be a cook, so the extra instruction and practice is useful)

1980s Ozone layer ban of cfcs and other ozone destroying chemicals reduced the hole increasing, its still there and in places like Australia the lack of UV protection due to Ozone depletion causes higher levels of Skin carcinoma then any other country.
Acid rain that issue was recognized a long time before the 90s, but led to the introduction of unleaded petrol as one example.
Global warming, climate change are very real occurences as the result of human activity. We are seeing the effects every day.
Plastics have been building up in oceans and waterways for decades, so far microbeads (plastics) in cosmetics and paints and other products have been phased out. There is an area the size of Texas meters deep in plastics in the Pacific Ocean, its calculated that by 2050 there will be more plastic then fish in the worlds waterways.
Although what pattern do you see? I am truly curious. | | | | | In 1989 we were told we'd all be dead by now. U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

To be fair to vegans, it is a fact that dairy production and cattle for beef is one of the largest global polluters. I think less is the key. Tom is well aware of how bad for the environment beef and dairy is, but it won’t stop him eating cheese or steak, and neither will I as long as I can help it, I just choose better quality less often.

But maybe there is something between excessive consumption and your equally extreme choice of life style?
We had a bunch of people who came on here with Vegan in their user name who after a few days got banned because they are frankly too annoying even for our low standards around here... so don't be one of them.

Nobody is arguing that beef and dairy production has a climate impact. But this thread was about plastic. Specifically the microplastic that pollutes the ocean.
As long as vegetables are packed in as much plastic as the meat can we agree that the whole vegan topic can go to another thread. Because we are not talking about carbon emissions or footprint in general. If we did would I rather raise the point that Despacito has produced about as much carbon dioxide as 100.000 taxis https://www.schroders.com/en/be/prof...al-revolution/ | This user would like to thank Treverus for this useful post:
