As mentioned before Dems are creeping up in Florida during late counting

New Times, Broward and Palm Beach say "Ron DeSantis Wins Florida Governor's Race"

I guess even in two years we will still not know who won what with whom's help.

They all thought that Gillum would be too far behind DeSantis to catch up even after counting the last remaining uncounted votes, even Gillum who congratulated DeSantis on his win.

Now after counting more, but not yet all, of the last votes the gap is closing. If the final gap is less than 0.5% then this triggers a mandatory vote recount.

Based on his performance I would say yes. We should all lighten up and accept the fact that he won.

Tom
I want to see an Avenetti / Ocasio-Cortez ticket for the Dems in 2020, because that's the only thing that could really keep the comedy gold going strong for another 4 years ...oh, and maybe Blasey-Ford as head of DOJ, ..maybe get Stormy Daniels as Press Secretary (I think she has some secretary outfits already?)...

Porn star Stormy Daniels may fire her lawyer Avenetti because of charges he physically beat his girlfriend

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stormy-...rges-are-true/

...oh please, please, please run for president in 2020

And as Avenetti reminded us in the Kavanaugh hearing, women who accuse men of assault must be heard and believed, regardless of lack of evidence...guilty until proven innocent

<<Daniels also commented on her lawyer's recent moves to run for president in 2020 against Mr. Trump. "I'm sure Michael's not going to like this, but until I know all of the candidates and their platforms, I will not endorse anyone. But I am open minded. ">>

Is it of special importance to the nation or a candidate for presidency that Miss (Mrs?) Daniels endorses a candidate?

Or what exactly does it mean, if when she endorses a candidate?

I don't know, but maybe Miss Daniels should run herself for President? She seems like a candidate that a lot of people can "get behind"

I see, the last sentence in that post of mine caught the attention. I should have known better than to drop that in this day and age.

My emphasis was more on her strange idea that it is of any importance to the world whether she endorses a candidate or not.

Is this fact or wishful thinking?

Foreigners can vote in much of French-speaking Switzerland
I'm a foreigner. In my town/canton foreigners cannot vote.
Given that the majority of foreigners here are EU nationals. If history and current state of matters teaches something, I think it is a big risk for Switzerland to let them vote.

I wholeheartedly entrust my destiny to the decisions of Swiss voters who have done much better than anyone else in the surroundings.

Communism as a state ideology is dead in Russia. This is official. “No ideology may be established as a state or obligatory one,” goes Article 13 of Russia's Constitution adopted in 1993.

United Russia, chaired by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, is Russia's ruling party.
Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) is the second largest party

So you voluntarily agree with paying taxes for years and years and having no say at least in the local affairs (not federal or maybe not even cantonal) - municipality e.g. building a new school, kita, stadium etc.? What kids can get in school and what not?
Weird. Not that we have a choice, but frankly the willingness to give up the right to ask authorities for some sort of accountability is surprising.

Yes I do: I trust my own criteria but not that of other foreigners living in Switzerland. I gladly sacrifice my vote so that other foreigners are not allowed to vote.

Of course not, but a large part of the population went through cold war with them and remember it.
