China is screwing the world

Got to face it.

If you want something screwed these days there no place else to go then China.
Not even the USA, the once great industrial leader, can screw enough.

What's the world come to?

Re: China is screwing the world

Thanks very good article...

And I'm gonna have to use the B word... the idea that the UK will be better off outside a common market is shown to be even more nonsense by this ... like it or not, companies will operate where there's the least artificial resistance to supply and demand

The second part of your sentence, doesn't support the first part: if the UK is outside of the EU customs union it will be outside its artificial resistance through supply and demand from EU external tariffs. some brexiters propose unilateral dropping of tariffs. personally i'm not convinced this is the best strategy but perhaps we don't get to find out anyway.

Well, if the UK is outside of the common market will it pretty surely have tariffs and the EU will have barriers for UK goods as well. Which is why quite some companies already left the UK, moved staff or at the very least did not invest till Brexit is over and sorted.

Believing the UK will manage to negotiate a situation where you will have all the upsides of being in the EU but not having to pay for the membership was something that was idiotic two years ago… today even the last brexiteer should have understood that the world is slightly more complicated than Boris Johnsons view on it.

Anyways… its two more months, no solution remotely in sight and a British PM honestly believing she can negotiate something within the next few weeks while the EU had made it pretty clear that they wont. So we will find out soon...
