UK-Which century do they live in?

They have two types of licence fees for TV-one for colour and one for black and white. It costs £154.50 for a colour and £52 for a black and white TV Licence.

Well, to hazard a guess. I would say the 21st.

In the UK they care about minorities. In this case the 28'000 who still watch TV on a BW set.

If you are colour-blind then you take a less expensive option. They care about the minorities.

If you are over 75 you get it free.Wow! They probably introduced this in the 1950's when few lived past 60. Now they want that the over 75 ers pay also-because they live too long now.

If you're blind or visually impaired, you buy the cheaper option and turn on the 'Voiceover' feature.

Oh for heaven’s sake learn a bit about history! Many are still in the late 1950s, when maintaining the delusion of empire was easier, most moved on, but some have more recently decided to try and return to those times.

Well at least the licence is cheaper than what the Swiss licencing mafia ( ex Billag ) charges. But the swiss can be conned into anything

Re: UK-Which century do they live in?

I've just tried out of curiosity to see if it is still even possible to buy a new black and white TV in the UK. I can't find any sellers online. On Ebay, there are some old ones though.

You can always buy a modern colour TV and set B/W mode

Thousands still watch TV in black and white http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46125741B/W
