50 years celebration of (fake) moon landing

Even Buzz Aldrin admits it now:

Yes, we've known this all along. And the earth is flat. I can see that almost daily on my way from Grand Traverse Bay across the Manitou Passage to South Fox Island in Lake Michigan.

By the way, dinosaurs lived together with humans. And aliens built the Giza pyramids. And Elvis is alive. And bananas pose radioactive dangers. And Obama is a Muslim. And car dealers are honest people. And the Swiss are not allowed to use their toilets after 10 p.m. (it's the law). And homeopathy works, proven by countless randomized double-blind tests.

It fascinates, and rather unsettles me, to see how many people seem to believe that the moon landings were a hoax.

The picture of the American flag supposedly fluttering away in the lunar breeze was a dead give away that the whole thing was all staged.

There's no wind on the moon. The flag was wrinkled.

Sometimes I like to read conspiracy theories. They can make entertaining stories.

It's not that unreasonable compared to most conspiracy theories. Keep in mind that billions were being invested in a technological race between the USA and the USSR.

Thousands of people involved in what would be the biggest organised cover up of all time, and no one has every come forward with definitive proof, while meanwhile all the facts point to it being difficult but doable, and then done, multiple times (while there would be no need to repeat the actions after the first time).

Not unreasonable. Are you kidding?

Got a friend that works for NASA, they really did go to the moon. They really do build satellites that orbit the earth. He would have spilled the beans in some drunken conversation at some point in the last 20 years if they didn't.

Re: 50 years celebration of (fake) moon landing

To be honest, I'm still not convinced we went to the moon. I've yet to see any explanation that works for me regarding many of the photos and what about the radiation belt they had to travel through? Not at all convinced the technology of the time could deal with that.

During travel only a short time is spend in those belts, making that the exposure to the radiation is almost meaningless and of no importance.

Now surely a 1.000 sites will explain how everything coming close to those belts would be fried on instant , but hey, other sites will say that people like Elvis, Cobain, Prince and Freddy are spending a great old day on the same secret island.
