This suggests to me that people interpreted it primarily as a bit of fun, not as something sinister. The source who described it as sexually provocative was seeing it through the prism of the allegations, IMO. The painting (by a woman) is certainly strange but doesn't seem to me to be suggestive of criminal tendencies on the part of Epstein let alone Clinton; at most proof of poor taste in interior decor. If the source had seen a copy of the Mona Lisa on his wall, perhaps she'd have said that it looked like a girl of 14 with a sultry expression on her face. | | | | | Well, I suppose you could regard displaying a weird picture (or the commissioning of such a painting) of Bill Clinton wearing a dress similar to his wife's as something similar to trolling. It was designed to provoke a reaction. As such, I don't believe it there is much point in subjecting either it to an in depth analysis or the comments of those who reacted to it.
Clear is that if some individual is involved in such activities, it is right to consider how appropriate it is that he has charge over other peoples' children.

But I definitely agree that the painter and whoever displayed it would have been expecting a reaction.

Ghislain Maxwell, the most elusive person in the world right now and #2 to Epstein, was "spotted" at an In-N-Out burger joint in Los Angeles reading "The book of honor: the secret lives and deaths of CIA operatives". https://nypost.com/2019/08/15/jeffre...his-death/amp/
This is not a coincidence, this was the official statement or "press release" of the elite. We care not of your court or legal systems is basically what they are saying. Epstein and Maxwell both have alleged ties to Mossad and CIA. Epstein was considered an intelligence asset, for blackmail obviously.

Total coincidence, I'm sure. I wonder how robust the investigation of his death will be. Plenty of powerful and rich people would probably be happier if it's a quick rubber-stamp job.

Should we continue being art critics? | | | | | Good point and one which demonstrates how easy it is to be side tracked from the main theme of a controversial, but very convenient "suicide" and the misdeeds of those from the elite class in Epstein's circle who are yet be exposed.

Should we continue being art critics? | | | | | The New York Post? That's your reliable source, seriously?
How can you tell the title of the book she's reading?
How can you tell when those photos were taken?
Why is the subject of the photos posing? I'd have thought Ghislaine Maxwell would be keen to avoid publicity.
You do love your conspiracy theories, don't you?

| | Re: Jeffrey Epstein found dead in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center
I too was wondering how they knew which book it was. The book story has nevertheless been referred to by the likes of the The Guardian and the FT. There's also this from the Washington Post: Ghislaine Maxwell read my book at In-N-Out Burger. Then it sold out on Amazon. | Quote: | | | | ...And so I savor the moment, taking my magnifying glass to the New York Post photo plastered on its front page, trying to get a good look at the book open on the table before Maxwell. Alas, the angle is all wrong and the title obscured. Given that she apparently has been trying to avoid publicity, the least she could have done was hold the book over her face. …
But wait a minute. Something is off here. I am reading the most recent Amazon review of the book, dated August 15, 2019 — Thursday — by a certain “G. Maxwell.” Could it be? “A good friend of mine died recently under very tragic circumstances. Some of us saw it coming for quite a while but it was still a huge shock when it finally happened. I picked up this book at the advice of a friend and absolutely couldn’t put it down.”
Okay, I guess it couldn’t be. But someone was admirably quick with the fake review: “I’d read it walking the dog, getting fast food, or even just lounging around the house. It helped me realize that my friend really believed in something and that giving your life for the CIA, NSA, FBA, Mossad, or other intelligence agency is truly a higher calling and not something to mourn. A wholehearted recommendation.”
Five stars. How can I complain? | | | | | There's chatter online about this Amazon review. It isn't a one-off review by whoever it is. They do have a record of other reviews and are saying they're based in Portland, Oregon.
Judging from the FT article, Ghislaine Maxwell has vehemently denied the claims, even banging the table in denial in the same way as Lord Bramall, in response to the false accusations by the now convicted Carl Beech ( Carl Beech trial shown video of ex-army chief banging desk in denial). | Quote: | | | | Ms Maxwell has long denied any wrongdoing. Her attorneys did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday. In a 2016 deposition unsealed this month, she grew emotional and apologised for “banging at the table”.
“It’s borne out of years of feeling the pressure of this entire lie that [Ms Giuffre] has perpetrated,” she said. “That terrible story has been told and retold and rehashed when I know it to be 100 per cent false.” | | | | | The claims by Giuffre, who seems to be the original claimant, of being "forced" to have sex with other men, such as Prince Andrew and lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who have strenuously denied it, and being used as a "sex slave" don't seem to have been explained. How was she forced? How was she enslaved? If she is unreliable, how reliable does that make the others coming along later and saying "me too"? It's hard to see how other people, irrespective of how many, could copy a bad piece of homework and still get the answer right.

Maybe even to refute the coroner's findings. |
