Apple scam

Wow, this is new. Two mails like this one in my inbox.
What pisses me off most about it is that I got it seconds after I unsuccessfully tried to buy a ticket for the ferry online.
Five minutes, just five minutes with one of these wunts, five minutes and a baseball bat, that´s all I ask.

Re: Apple scam

Some of these scams are disgusting. My mother who lives in Australia received a call the other day from someone pretending to be a Microsoft employee who informed her that her computer was “about to crash”. He said to fix it, he would send her a link to her email address and asked for the email address. Then when she clicked on the link and her computer froze up, the Microsoft employees said it was too late and she had to pay $400 by credit card to fix it, which she did. She only realised a day or two later that it was a scam and filed a fraud report with Mastercard

The infamous, and fake "Microsoft service center" in Bangalore, India.

It's probably good that she did pay as once they are in your system, if you don't pay (and don't have the sense to simply turn of your PC), they'll go around deleting files until you do pay.
