I am in Sweden at the moment, on a fast train to Stockholm to get my plane back to civilization!

And Swiss trains are smoother.

Tom
Would that happen to be the Scandal rail?

Swedish food makes Swiss-German food seem exciting!

Tom

Those were the only interesting foods they have, most of which are breakfast foods!

Which is exceptionally good, runs on time, stops exactly where it should do at each platform.

A well worth experience, Beijing - Guanghou = about 9 hours (2'200km)

But it's not a socialist state. It's communistic since 70 years.

From the point of view of a national railway network - they operate the same way - centrally controlled, financed, and planned by (usually) the country's government.

No, that's the Soviet model and not socialistic.

Must be. They are forcing people off trains when they are to full. They should sit on the roof like in India!

Re: Climate change/Greta Thunberg [merged threads]

Environmentally friendly Galley slaves required

Yes Greta Thunberg next voyage could well be the Aegean Sea and therefore volunteers are required
to help row her to various ports and harbours around Greece, to promote awareness of the dangers
of climate change, the need to promote green energy and reduce plastic waste.

Rowing will involve shift work when under way with the only breaks likely to be when the Greek
Captain decides to set the sails.

Would you row Greta on an ancient Greek Galley ? video
