If you're thinking of committing a crime, now you have the perfect legal defence: "But, climate change!"
The (mostly) students who occupied the offices of Crédit Suisse and engaged in a game of tennis in the hallways have been found not guilty on appeal of their conviction of the consequent charges: "the judge considered that their action of civil disobedience was justified in view of the climate emergency" (my translation).
This is an amazing result, based on the defence of "lawful necessity" -- the seriousness of climate change may justify breaking the law.
